That's no worse than greedy power hungry insurance executives controlling your health care and denying coverage to increase their bonuses.
At least I have a choice. I can go with any type of health care insurance, or join a co-op, or work with a doctor or a group of doctors and pay as I go.
If you don't want choice, and want only what the health care options and treatments that government allows you to have, then you do you.
It's like saying you want the Congressional representative for your district to decide if you can have a car, or what car you can own, what computer you can have, what food you can eat and what heath care treatments you should be allowed. If that makes you happy, you do you. Leave me alone.

100%. Somehow I find it hilarious that people love choice in literally everything (including the specific amount of dressing they want in their takeout salads) except for medical care and education.
God forbid you have to put in the effort of choosing your own provider of medical care and your children's educations.

I am a Pedigree Independent...I don't even believe there should be Political Parties. They just cause divisiveness and gridlock...and add no benefit whatsoever.
They should be done away with. Each State gets 2 Senators and a Representative for each district. Just their name and the State they represent...no other designation whatsoever.

I noted that the added burden of the overhead & profit of the Insurance Companies adds greatly to the cost of the Healthcare equation...and going with a system like the VA that directly provides the service would be a better way.
I feel that could be done for way less then the total of all insurance premiums + all Medicaid/Medicare + all self-pay out-of-pocket payments...and provide all the care now given more efficiently and at a lower cost overall.

Government adds far more cost to the equation than anyone can possibly imagine. Starting false information relating to diet.
None of the plausible options for providing medical care at a lesser cost involves government involvement.
All countries with UHC rely on accounting fraud to make themselves look solvent. Go look up unfunded liabilities. When you get to hide a substantial portion of your liabilities off of your balance sheet, anyone can make anything look solvent.
Because if they kept them and were held to anything resembling proper financial reporting standards, none of them would have credit ratings and sovereign debt wouldn't be worth the paper it's written on.
So UHC only looks solvent because countries disguise them as unfunded liabilities on balance sheets they don't have? You've gone full loony tunes.
It IS in fact true that countries with national health care have parallel private health insurance that their citizens buy to access more timely and higher quality health care. This is true in Canada, the UK, Germany, Australia, S Korea, etc.

It IS in fact true that countries with national health care provide basic care to their citizens even if they cannot pay for it.
The US alone has over 100 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities.
Unfunded liabilities exist. And they're not funded. That's why they're called UNFUNDED LIABILITIES.
But they are funded unless you think taxes are going to end at some point.
