The Russian space program is a continuation of the Soviet program. They use the same facilities. It just has new management and is organized differently.

I do not think so. Most of Americans and and the official news networks they listen have no idea of what Russia and its true history is. No idea. Nothing. Zilch. Kaput !
Russia and Ukraine since its origin more than 1,000 years back are only one nation and one culture. The Ukraine nation does not exist. It is an invention, a creation without any historical fundamentals.
"Ukraine" is an expression in the old Russian language to refer to vast lands very far from Moscow beyond the Don and Dnieper rivers.
Only true Russian people who know their history and culture from their predecessors know this.
Russia is the largest country in the planet with vast natural resources not even United Estates and China have. Russia willbe always a major World power.

You wrote that in 2023? Really?

Russia has started poisoning the world by spreading communism after the 1917 Russian revolution. The gravestones of history, Eastern Europe after 1945, Cambodia, Vietnam, North Korea, Nicaragua, Cuba, Venezuela all had their roots planted following Russian example. Russia failed to destroy the planet we call home by politics, but they might succeed with military means. If the nuclear holocaust wipes out life here for the next 200 years, it won't be started by Poland or the United States of America.

Having the largest land area and then ONLY using your natural resources does not make you a world power or keep you in world power status. You have to improvise, you have to diversify and adjust to the changes on our planet - that is something Russia is unable to do.

Russia's economy wasn't as large as Canada's before their invasion. Their power is in the number of nukes they have and a maniac in charge.

Essentially yes, they are all just Russians.
Ukraine is nothing but leftovers of the old "Kievan Rus" - the state that once was, that consisted of Russians only, then it fell apart, circa 1200ies, one part of it ( united around Moscow principality) started moving forward in its independent development, while the other part, concentrated around Kiev principality, was overtaken by foreign powers ( Polish-Luthuanian Commonwealth).
But since the inhabitants of this part of the former Kievan Rus ( let's call them "Ukrainians" by now,) still belonged to the same church as the inhabitants of Moscow principality ( because all were baptized when they were still one and the same country,) they were persecuted by the Catholic Poles.

That's why "Ukrainians" had to ask for Moscow protection back in 1654.

So now you know who "Ukrainians" are.

I like the saying, "Russia is a Third World nation with a First World military".
