“To ensure the safety of our Team Members, we have made the difficult decision to close the Trinity store for the time being,” a Whole Foods Market spokesperson said.

Last November, the San Francisco Standard reported that the Whole Foods location at Trinity Place had limited its store hours following “high theft” and “hostile people,” according to a statement from a store manager who was granted anonymity by the outlet.

On and on it goes. Life in lawless San Francisco.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

I feel sorry for the people who did not vote for these policies. Proably not many of them left. I fled San Francisco in 2009.

We sold our little junker house and cleared out in 2017. Our plan was to retire there.

I've seen a lot of videos of these encounters in San Fran. They generally walk in with a mask on and don't hide what they are there to do. A store worker might follow them, or even grab the basket or items if they are feeling brave, but I'm sure that is not encouraged. The thieves basically just ignore them and keep grabbing more stuff, usually in an aggressive manner to try to intimidate the worker. It seems so easy for them to just go in and steal, and after doing it a few times successfully, it just encourages them to keep at it.

This is not a situation that will improve without physical deterrents, consequences, etc. But it's San Fran, so good luck with that. The only logical option for a business that requires a profit to survive is to protect the merchandise be selling it in safer locations where these problems are minimal.

This whole situation is frustrating for everyone, even people who do not live in the community. A lot of people who steal go on to resale their ill gotten loot online, forcing honest merchants and retail chains to compete against stolen goods. It's unfair for everyone.

San Francisco is a great example of Democrat policies failing miserably.
The dummies who live there will probably still vote for the same policies over and over.

Yep.
Democrats have become the epitome of overly-educated stupid people.

Don't fall for partisanship nonsense.
Governments are instituted among men to secure rights.

When they fail, alter or abolish them.
Whether elected, or appointed, when they don't do their jobs, don't let them keep their jobs.

Oh, they'll tell you all about their graduate degrees, but they have NO critical thinking skills whatsoever. Polled employers indicate that as a significant problem.

That is precisely what will happen. I watched it happen to Detroit, until I was old enough to get out. They still have a Liberal Mayor in his 2nd term there, even though the city looks like a scene from the Mad Max movie's.

My relatives left San Fran in the 80's, and moved to Nevada. I used to visit San Fran as a tourist, but not now. Tourism there must be in decline, but the liberal media won't say so.

San Francisco is almost at the point of Detroit and other liberal hellholes where its almost time to just bulldoze the thing and start over.
