That's all they ever have brought to the table over the past two elections. Their propaganda machine (movie stars & media) generate the Trump hate and then come election time their voters act accordingly. The no brain party that can't think for themselves.

Just more sensationalizing/clickbait.

From the story: ...51 former intelligence officials...

So, we're supposed to be surprised that a political campaign tried to downplay a story they thought would hurt their campaign? Was something illegal done? Was anyone forced to sign the letter?

They are still covering up and controlling the supposed “investigation”.
Things, in general, are grim in the States these days. I don't see a conventional way it gets fixed.

and now the coverup begins.

The State Department on Friday refused to answer questions about a claim from a former CIA official that Antony Blinken, now Biden's secretary of State, led efforts in 2020 to have intelligence officials write a letter that said the Hunter Biden laptop story was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee said Thursday that former CIA Deputy Michael Morell told the committee that Blinken was the "impetus" for the letter that was ultimately signed by 51 current and former intel officers. That letter said stories about Biden’s laptop were a Russian ploy, a claim that was later shown to be false.

On Friday, a State Department spokesman said the department would not be answering any questions about Blinken’s alleged involvement in the letter.

you know it. the same entities that were more than happy to lie and deep-six the laptop story as 'russian disinformation' in the first place will have no use for this seeing the light of day.

What don't you understand about the word "retired"? The state department is not involved, this was the action of private citizens. Why would they be answering questions. Morell was quite clear in his statement, is there a question why he took this action?

All the signers were retired?

So what?

If their word was good while still active in their posts then their word should be good enough after they left service. Well, unless they were tricked into signing. Then we should discount everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) they ever said while employed by the government. IF they were tricked about something as simple as this to prove I hope they are never again in a position of authority in the US government again.

Intelligence officers weren't too intelligent on this matter. What else did they muck up?
