and Horowitz didnt find anything more than Crossfire Hurricane (CfH) (the start of the thing) started based on probable cause.... BUT it continued beyond what it should have based on the 17 serious failures in the FISA applications.
Literally CfH should have never moved beyond its inital phase. so you are wrong on your assessment of Horowitz's view.
And that doesnt even deal with backing up to what initiated CfH to being with. We know how that started.
Which is utterly shady and has the FBIs fingerprints all over it.
The Durham Report did fail to deliver. There should have been indictment recommendations. Durham was never going to go that far. He did fail to deliver, because many FBI staff perjured themselves, leaked classified informatino, and engaged in racketeering.
Durham failed to deliver any indictment recommendations. He dropped the ball. The report has no teeth. He basically said that Timmy pulled Amber's hair in class, but he doesn't have to go to the principal's office.

The worst misstep in the Durham report, IMO, was that he didn't even offer up an substantive suggested changes the FBI should take - beyond assigning an "impartial" agent/lawyer as oversight to cases with political implications. Which has several immediately apparent issues as any sort of "fix".

In case anyone missed it, previously I set a trap for this poster to prove non-compliance. The EXACT wording Durham provided has nearly singular use. Oddly, it was only a Fox news source that referred to his words EXACTLY as written.
The words used above ONLY appeared originally in 2 synopsis, one from CNN and one from MSNBC - and were both copied by other news organizations propogating the lie.
If ANYONE, EVER uses the words above, you know without ambiguity that they allowed themselves to be told what to think and did not read the source material. They didnt even read the cliff notes versions.
However, the rest of the assertion (not quoted) is false, Durham most certainly did outline in clear language the failures of process and outlined in clear language to political bias applied - in some cases quoting it directly.
Durham does point out that some of this has been implemented pre-release of the report

we actually have no evidence of this. We have exactly zero evidence of classes, lectures, testing, presentations, checklists, employee acknowledgement etc. One things federal employees endure is an annual re-cert of certain key components of federal rules and regs when you are in a position to cause 'duress' to citizens. It requires at the least an online class that cannot be skipped - within a certain time period using the PIV creds as acceess (no cheating) as well as checkpoint knowledge tests, a final knowledge test, and the signing of the cert. It could be that people just go thru the motions to get the minimum (generally an 80% score) and in some cases just a e-signing that they saw the briefing. So we are required to take it on faith.
HOWEVER, now in the congressional record, we are hearing the whistleblower reports which were written BEFORE the Durham report was made public in any way. And the language in the reports, is EXACTLY the same. The FBI is opening investigations and prosecutions based on political directives with no predicating cause. Ergo, we can conclude, no changes were implemented.
do we have any recourse? yes, 1, in 2024 put the GOP in charge of the white house, senate and congress and keep that in place for at least 8 years so the sweeping changes, can be done

I assume because the FBI already put in changes to their procedures after the Horowitz report. This was an unnecessary step.
