Bingo. Trump is the author of his own misery here.
Mistakes happen, and NARA gets that POTUSes can make goofs. Most other POTUSes, when their mistake was called out on, cooperated. NARA, in those instances, decides "No harm, no foul."
Trump decided that he didn't have to cooperate. He fought every step of the way, for whatever reason, and now it's all crashing down on him.
And folk out there are enabling his poor behavior, instead of asking themselves, "Why didn't he just return everything when asked?"
The same ones who are defending Trump are the ones who were saying George Floyd should have cooperated with the police and he wouldn't have been murdered.
Can you translate that into English? I don’t speak Neanderthal.
If you are simply unhappy because Donnie is about to be indicted, trust me - There are a lot of us who are looking forward to him having the opportunity to exonerate himself against the charges.
If he is found “not guilty” or acquitted by a jury, I will accept that justice has been done. If he is found guilty, you should be willing to do the same.
What happened to "lock him up by any means possible, honest or not. The End Justifies the Means"?
You now sound like you don't think he will be convicted and are just laying the groundwork so you can bow out gracefully.

Wrongamundo. It’s like agnosticism. You can never be sure before you find out for certain.
I fervently believe he will be indicted, tried, convicted, and imprisoned, and I certainly hope so. America will have a new holiday to celebrate the day his cell door slams shut, and I hope they weld it up behind him.
That said, it’s like the OJ trial. There is no doubt he murdered his wife, but Cochran managed to create doubt in the minds of the jury sufficient to win an acquittal.
This will not be the case with Trump. His attorney and his aide at MAL have both flipped and testified about everything the knew to save their behinds. There is no doubt the docs were found at MAL by the FBI, after Trump had had his attorneys sign a statement that they had all been returned. That alone is sufficient to convict him of obstruction.
He went on CNN and ran his mouth about packing the boxes and people taking pictures of the stack on the curb waiting to be shipped to MAL, in other words, he confessed to stealing the documents. That was at least a half dozen times he has confessed publicly in social media or on camera and microphone. That should be ample evidence for a jury to find him guilty of theft of the documents.
The espionage part of the investigation is still the wild card. There reportedly is testimony from Walt Nauta that Trump showed some of the documents to people. Jack Smith long ago subpoenaed Trump Org files on business dealings they had with seven foreign countries that could be considered a security risk. We do know Trump had multi-billion dollar real estate deals going on in at least one of those countries, and that Saudi Arabia is holding golf tournaments at Trump courses. It remains to be seen how many lines can be drawn between the documents, Trump, and business dealings with semi-hostile countries.
So yeah, I think he’s going down, hard, and I will continue to hope so. If he miraculouly beats the rap, no biggie. Fani Willis had another special surprise for him in Georgia, and by that time Jack Smith should be ready to talk about the insurrection.

Fanny in Georgia says judges clear your calendar for the first two weeks in August. Those fake electors folded and were offered immunity to testify.
Finally got him? Stay tuned. "Will be wild." A big wild card. Mark Meadows.
We all know the criminal con man Donald Trump is. Why anyone can still support that is mind boggling.

Yeah, but other than that whatcha got?
If they ever admit there is a possibility Trump committed a crime, they will by default admit they were wrong. The next year is gonna be hellzapoppin for Trump. Once the indictment floodgates open, neither he nor the media nor the public is going to be able to keep up with everything going on.
Pro Tip: Sell Truth Social and buy Orville Redenbacher and Jiffy Pop. Popcorn futures have never looked better.
The text of the attorney letter to Merrick Garland looks just like Trump composed it himself.
It has all the characteristics of 'Trump-speak' ... like he dictated it himself and his attorneys sheepishly signed it. It looks like a tweet, not a serious legal document. In fact, it looks like a middle-schooler with no legal training wrote the piece.
It's too late, they already have Evan Corcoran's testimony and 50 pages of detailed notes, and it looks like Mark Meadows attorneys are not in contact with Trump's team of attorneys ... he probably is cooperating in some fashion.
