I recall a time when being liberal was a good thing, or at worse, neutral. Then conservatives starting using liberal like some kind of 4 letter word, saying it with a sneer.
The definition of liberal:
willing to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas:
tolerant, unprejudiced, broad-minded, open-minded
relating to or denoting a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise: "a liberal democratic state"
I would be very proud to say that I am open to new ideas, and support individual rights, civil liberties, democracy and free enterprise. It's the same for woke:
"alert to and concerned about social injustice and discrimination"

Not today. Today’s liberals, especially in universities, will not tolerate differing opinions or ideas. They become violent towards those expressing differing opinions or they will shout over them to prevent their opinions from being heard. If a student’s opinion differs from the professor then the professor grades against the student. In a recent case a professor “required” students pay into an abortion group to get good grades in her class. Today’s liberals are “agree with me or face the consequences”
Woke is nothing more than a buzz word to trigger the right and keep them upset and engaged. It's just part of the rage porn some are so addicted to. I laughed at our friend who came up and said don't buy Coke. "They call it wokeacola." I said who is they and why do they say that? I tried to get a coherent answer and he couldn't even remember why Coke was woke. He remembered the emotion but nothing else. It's a psych op, and a pretty effective one for simpletons. Isn't that the target? Uneducated middle aged and older white men?
You know. It's kind of like the Three Stooges. Women find them dumb. Men think they're hilarious. Some think tank came up with woke. Whoever figured that one out deserves a bonus. It is a pretty effective political tool for those easily manipulated.
I think that small appeal will run its course. Most of us think its just Repubs being cry babies for not wanting to play nice and wallow in hate instead.
What liberals are saying, in effect, is that if blacks are given equal opportunity, they don't have the ability to achieve equity. Therefore they must be given equity.
In other words, blacks have an innate lack of intelligence. That's racist to its core.

Like the definition of the word “woman,” it seems that the definition of “woke” has evolved as well and is used as a blanket term to encompass to worst of the far-left ideals (particularly those related to gender, sexuality, ‘equity’, and Democrat-approved racism) for today’s world.
I always love when leftists get all high and mighty about the definition of “woke” when they try to force everyone to use made-up pronouns like “ze/zir” and/or incorrect pronouns like “they/them,” force words like “cisgender” on us, and/or pre-empt and co-opt other words like “gay” to take on new meaning, or continue on with their effort do dumb down our language by forcing people to speak in sterile and gender-neutral terms (or else they come after you), yet this evolving use of the word “woke” is “bad.”
I know the Democrat talking point is something like “HA HA HA, HE HE HE, YOU’RE STUPID BECAUSE YOU DON’T KNOW THE DEFINITION OF THIS WORD” yet at the same time, these are people who make up words or change definitions of existing words all the time. But I get it; when Democrats do it, it’s smart, okay, and moves the world forward.

Woke is a means of separating the country and dividing us. Wokism pushes race, genders, equity, diversity and that type of thing. They claim men can give birth and they can not tell you what a woman is.
Ever hear of Kamallla Harris? How do you like her? She is only in her position because of the left being woke. She is there because of her race and being a woman. She never qualified for the job and you can tell. Now look at our country and the direction is going? How are you liking that? Well it is going in that direction because of this administration's policies which include wokism.
Remember all the statues torn down? Wokism. CRT in schools? Wokism. Justice dept calling people who oppose of CRT in schools terrorists...wokism

When you only hire people because they check a box, you don't get quality people. We need to hire those that are best for the job and can do their job well.
See what happed to Target's stock? That is because of ESG ratings. This administration is forcing companies to go Woke which is not working out so well for these companies. Just look at the stock of Budweiser, Target, Kohls and some others. Go Woke go Broke. It's a thing but yet companies still go woke.
Remember how disney is putting in more gay/trans characters in their movies so yound children can view. They are even going in and changing our classic Disney movies and doing such things as making Cinderella bi or whatever.

"Woke" nowadays means anything I can do to inject activism and virtue signaling (usually in the form of left wing propaganda) into places where it doesn't belong.
