Chicago has approved 51 million dollars to help house migrants after some debate.. The proposal also has caused some contention with in different communities. It's apparently from a budget surplus.

In the meantime taxable revenue and business continue to leave Chicago.

At least they had to work for it and ignored issues starting to be talked about.

“Budget surplus” in political Chigacoese only means they found $51 million they forgot to steal from someone last year.

Democrats just can't wait to spend other people's money.

Chicago and it's economy is grossly dependent on (often illegal) migrant labor. Someone has to pay for all the expenses associated with relocating all those poor people where the jobs for them are. Chicagoland has a massive manufacturing/industrial sector and I doubt even half of it would exist there if it weren't for below market rate labor that business leaders in that region demand. Most of that industry would have fled to cheaper locations like Texas, or one of the many foreign nations that have labor costs a fraction of what ours typically are.

Hey, I would agree with the poorer black communities in Chicago about how they can't get money but the migrants can....but I'm a white male and don't want to be called racist for opposing it.

Enjoy! It's just raining for the black community in Chicago.

The funny part is the lady complaining...will just vote color again next election. Why? Because she's a moron with limited options.

People in Chicago are asking for this. Now they are getting it.

Democrats are soft on crimes and crimes go up.

Democrats are soft on illegal immigration and we have the largest surge of illegal immigration in decades.

All predictable outcomes.

Vote better next time

The US policy was always that any immigrants must offer proof that they will not become "wards of the state" e.g. a burden on society. They had to provide proof that a US resident would sponsor them, and they had to be able-bodied and promised to support themselves.

In the era of Biden, these millions of border crossers become instant wards of the state, burdening whatever city they are sent to.

It’s called Affidavit of Support (I-864)

This rule only applies for legal immigration.

Does not apply if you waltz through the southern border under Biden’s regime

Chicago approves $51 million for migrants. All not happy

Consider it their first down payment on their years of claims that they are a "Sanctuary City". Finally.

Wasn't that long ago that, if you waltz through the southern border in violation of U.S. law, the only rule that applied was "Get your azz out!". Along with a supervised trip back to the border location where you entered illegally. And a boot to the aforementioned azz.
