I agree with that. Deducting tax prep fee and any other biz deduction immediately drops net income below $600 so it becomes a waste of time.

It needs to be raised to be more realistic for today.

Democrats rant and rave about tax cuts, but all I see them doing is enjoying them.

And Democrats LOVED it and went along with it every step of the way, since they didn’t want to let the COVID crisis go to waste. And then went on to pass more spending bills, including the ridiculous and unnecessary “Inflation Reduction Act.”

But I get it; Democrats are always well-meaning, innocent bystanders.

I could support a tax increase on those who don’t pay any federal income taxes, however. It’s about time they pay their fair share! Nobody should pay 0, or even get any negative type of “return” when they haven’t paid anything in.

you know what's even funnier?

how recessions had nothing to do with what you originally said

...and what you just said is democrats and recessions go hand in hand

there was no recession under Trump...as a matter of fact.....our economy was booming under Trump

I had an easier time with the cost of living when the big orange guy was in office.
Didn’t all of us or almost all of us have a more reasonable cost of living under the last administration ?

Kinda sucks that these are our 2 best choices but here we are.
Me, I’ll take the nut with mean tweets and cheaper consumer products over that “nice” guy that raises taxes, raises gas prices, sics the DOJ on his enemies and is ok with having irreversible damage done to kids.
It’s simple math the way I see it.

We shouldn’t have to settle for less, EVER!

you won't get tax hikes...you'll get new taxes.

Bunch of new taxes kicked in this year.
And probably a bunch more on the table..like the mileage tax (which is being piloted).

The best way to RAISE Revenue is to LOWER tax RATES. It stimulates and grows the economy which increases revenue even with lower tax rates
