Formally, no. But the point being made is that the original offense should never have escalated to the point that life is lost.

Your thought processes make no sense.

We are a nation of laws. Only the person committing the infraction has control.

Who is responsible for that?

I understand that it is a tragedy that someone so young is dead. But they made their bed. And like it or not, we as a society need to uphold law and order for everyone's sake.

It is equally easy to say the kid should not have escalated the crime of theft to a gun fight. And simply given himself up and returned the vehicle when confronted.

Obviously a very troubled youth. Who knows what he was into. I would like to know if the other delinquents were also that young or if they were older and put him up to it. If he was armed, I’m sure he was a willing participant, though.

The kid escalated it all the way along due to a horrible upbringing.

P.S. You do realize that not everyone is rich and that if they lose their car it may not be insured and they could lose their job etc. and be staring at homelessness. A lot of people that are not in nor have ever been around much poverty just don't get that.

Oh, boy. Here comes Ben Crump, followed by Al Sharpton, and a big payout to the family of this little monster.

Anyone who excuses or justifies this criminal act has a few screws loose.

The car was stolen. The 12 year old had a loaded gun. The cops refused to pursue, citing "liability". I would argue that this waste of skin was the liability, and the threat was neutralized. It's little wonder that this country is going full on vigilante.

We need to get back to law and order, full stop.

It sickens me that anyone is dismissive of the death of a child, regardless of the circumstances.

Although I’ve heard of incidents where the kid was trying to play up to their outlaw older brothers.

Either way, these parents having kids they clearly weren’t prepared for, is alarming.
AVERAGE age of gang member is 15 yo!

12 yo makes the curve.

Samuel colt called his gun the great equalizer. A armed 12 year old is accorded equity in a gun fight.

Illegal drug trade, which the biden admin finances, ensures a ready supply of drugs, guns and 'children' to keep the violence and murders coming.

You mean like stealing cars? Agreed, don't steal cars, don't steal guns. Don't use said guns while stealing cars.
