I was at the Trump rally in Mesa, Az last year. Trump and governor candidate Kari Lake went on about the importance of voting on election day which I thought a mistake. Do that and you risk leaving maybe 3-4% of the vote on the table. Life happens and voters don't...vote. Much smarter to bank your votes as early as possible.

Agreed, but for FL it will just mean they are rejoining the vote by mail party. Until 2020, Republicans voted by mail more than Democrats. Trump stupidly changed that and probably lost a few votes of those who didn't end up making it to the polls when they planned.

That small percentage will likely be offset by new D voters coming out to vote for abortion rights imo.

The only caveat is that DeSantis got some law passed about how often you have to sign up. He realized it might backfire on his 2022 election and changed the date, but it will be in play for 2024 and could backfire on either/both parties.

It's not my explanation. The facts are they have a higher rate of unintended pregnancies that are unwanted. That is the only reason women have abortions other than health/life of the mother or fetal anomalies.

But... the Rep will also be chasing unlikely voters (ballot harvesting.)

Imo, it wasn't Trump in 2020 or abortion in 2022 or the Dems cheating in either election as to why the Rep did poorly. The Rep did poorly because the pandemic changed with this country votes. And while the Dems were quick to take advantage of the new voting laws the Rep. have yet to get fully started.

2024 this changes.

Anyone who bases their votes simply on who approves of abortions out of convenience shouldn't even be voting. We have so many other more important issue in this country to base our votes on.

WHY is that, given the FACT that so many birth control-providing clinics are located in minority neighborhoods? Remember, PP swears MOST of their service is providing birth control, not providing abortions.

Abortion is NOT a high-priority issue in the 2024 election. The economy is the #1 issue, which is why Biden has been trying to tout "Bidenomics," and he claims it is working.

But the truth about Bidenomics?

1) The US Treasury reports that as of July 31st, 10 months into FY2023, Individual Federal Income Tax Receipts are DOWN 19.4%, YoY. That means Americans have LESS income.

2) Americans have racked up a record high $1 trillion credit card debt.

3) Americans' saving rate has plummeted. They have no extra income to save. The current Personal Saving Rate is BELOW the 70 year average. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/PSAVERT

Again, the FACTS are that businesses go where business is good, and abortion business is good in ghettos. Why is business good? Perhaps because there are more unintended pregnancies there because it's ingrained in the culture. Politically incorrect? Yep. Don't care. The numbers speak for themselves.

In view of that and the border crisis that Biden has created my point was why would anyone base their votes on the abortion issue? There are far more important issues than that one to focus on and base their votes on.

Abortion is an economic issue.

Any rational person knows that one of the most significant economic issues in their life is when and how many children they have.

The ability to control that is definitely an economic issue.

Joe Biden
John Fetterman
Diane Feinstein
Nancy Pelosi

Those are the stars of the Democrat party.

Hope it doesn't rain, now that your glass house is full of broken windows.

I've stopped expecting/hoping that people will see that it's all screwed up. It's just about party loyalty now and I'm not going to be able to change that. Enjoy your bitter, angry world of division.
