Unless Mexico supports this it would be a Colombia 2.0, a disaster. The fentanyl crisis is horrible but going to war isn’t the answer- we need to address the root cause of drug use among Americans. Less demand from Americans equals less money for the cartels.

I can't believe any politician would be serious about proposing military action against the cartels.

It is ludicrous on so many levels.

As others point out, any attack on Mexican soil will be considered an attack against all Mexicans. Since Mexico is basically a narco-economy, targeting the cartel is the same as targeting the Mexican government. One can only imagine the huge international outcry if such a thing was proposed, including many within the U.S. I wouldn't be surprised if many Mexicans living in the U.S. take it personal as well, even if the target is a criminal organization.

And all the major cartels have a solid presence in pretty much most states across this country. They have long established business ties with US street and prison gangs, and they freely move across the border in both directions. You think these street and prison gangs would be happy with people messing with their major source of revenue?

So long as there is a huge demand, there will always be someone willing to supply. Doesn't matter if it's the cartels or some other group.

The US govt has been operating in Mexico for some time already. Obviously, our efforts aren’t bearing much fruit. Why?

Answer: Globalism and open borders, period.

We could lock that border down yesterday and near zero drugs are getting across. What would the cartels do? Attack us?

Why don’t we inspect the trucks coming into the USA. Abbott tried that and it hit the fan.

The grocers complained about rotting produce. Let the military inspect the trucks. The line can be miles long. So what?

Won't happen.

The LatinX won't like the optics of US bombs blowing up Mexican BIPOCs on the Evening Newz.

Although if the goal is to destabilize the US from within, then we'll likely do it! We'll be fighting the Chinese and Russians abroad and then we'll crumble and collapse within. Exactly what the globalists want.

I don't see any evidence that the "globalists" are pro-Russia or pro-China. Nor do I see any evidence that the interests of the globalists would be furthered by the collapse of the United States. But maybe you can enlighten me?

I have been around the block long enough to know this rhetoric is just for the Republican primary base and if he is elected we won’t be anywhere near to drone striking the cartels which tbh are basically indistinguishable from the Mexican gov anyways!

forget the 50' wall, that costs too much.

Instead, use drones, and snipers w/ night vision goggles.

Shoot some of the Coyotes in the leg w/ small caliber bullets, and the flow would stop immediately.

Would you trade off 1,000 Coyotes shot in the leg for 10,000 American lives saved by not dying of Fentanyl od's? I would.
