The answer is he's probably not innocent. Point blank. I for one fully believe he profited from his son's grifting. It just makes too much sense.

But unless it can be proven conclusively, its going to be background noise for most folks. And even if it can be proven conclusively, my belief (same as when Trump was being investigated) is that a sitting president shouldn't be indicted, especially for crimes that took place prior to him being in office. They can try impeachment, but fat chance of that being successful. So this is probably something that will have to wait until 2025 or 2029 to be adjudicated. Until then, its just interesting political chatter.

But if they can prove something? Throw the book at him once he leaves office. I hate criminal politicians and the only way to root out this bad behavior is to lay down the hammer.

The reasons it is important to prosecute Biden:

1. To demonstrate to future criminals that there are consequences to such actions
2. To be able to understand the "anatomy" of the scandal to place mechanisms to prevent it in the future
3. To restore the faith of the public in the justice system
4. To root out the influence of the CCP in the US government
5. To eliminate the unelected part of the government, the deep state, which markedly impacts policy
6. To remove the criminal elements in the FBI and DOJ which have betrayed the US public
