The chairman of the joint chiefs steps down Oct 1, even some republicans have criticized his actions but surely not enough. Where is McConnell and the other senate leaders, they should remove him from the Armed Services Committee.

Done one at a time with a roll call vote and the related Senate procedural rules, each promotion would take about two hours. That's 4 per day, or around 90 days to get all of them done. That's a waste of time. The normal course of events is that any controversial promotions get held out, while the vast majority get approved by unanimous consent.
You could bring them in one at a time and do a unanimous consent. Where does it say they cannot?

Where does it say if they brought them in 1 by 1 they would have to do a roll call vote?

Tuberville wants a roll call vote on each nominee. He's not going to do the unanimous consent thing one by one, as it defeats his purpose.

Apparently not.

Dems fooled you again!

Dems can bring individual appointees up one at a time and get the job done. they fear their poor choices based on woke criteria will be exposed.

If anything needs to be fixed it is combining issues or in this case, candidates to avoid scrutiny of details and individuals.

Candidates are selected by the Military Chain of command figures you would think they are political appointments like the custodian at GOP headquarters. You can't get the Senate to meet in committee and do their job and you think that going through 300+ approvals one at a time is solution......

How about they meet and vote the moron off the committee and put another GOP Senator who wants to do the job and not try and push his states draconian laws on service members who got assigned in his 3rd world country.

How about the military change their policy to stop aiding and abetting killing babies in the womb... obviously abortion is the higher priority for them instead of following the rules. Travel costs for an abortion is money spent towards the abortion.

Glad he is playing hardball. Lord knows Democrats are always playing hardball against political enemies.

Tuberville is injecting politics into the military, this wasn't an issue until RvW was overturned. Why should women stationed in Alabama not have the same rights as those in states that allow abortion.

Just another example of chaos that the supreme court inflicted on the nation with it's rulings.

Its the role of the military to follow the laws and policies implemented by those elected to office, they don't create them and they don't ignore them. Don't like the availability of choice in most of the country, tough luck.

Maybe the military should start looking at removing their presence in his state.

The law only forbids spending DoD funds to PERFORM an abortion. Travel and leave are not the same as performing the procedure.

https://www.tricare.mil/CoveredServi...%20or%20incest.

Tricare or try to get care is the "insurance" of the military and their families.
