What the heck?!...

Bloomberg.com: Worldwide

Is Putin's assessment of the U.S. accurate in your opinion?

BTW: Putin's not the Russian president anymore, so why is he giving his two cents on the matter? (i get the impression he's a glorified "string-puller" nowadays..)

He is a bit more than a glorified string puller at the moment, though his power may begin to decline in a few years.

Just as russia recently had a big militaryMay day parade.he sees the US as getting weaker; I beleive. There is nop doubt that he is still the power behind russia whcih has now become a ranking oil exporter;while we are becoming more and more a oil importer with teh same problems Japan had before WWII .In other words he smells weakness

Oh, surely. Perhaps the US should reform itself and emulate Putin's Russia.

Russia is the world's largest oil and gas producer. Thanks largely to Russia's oil, the world economy has not collapsed ... yet.

Quote:
Russia's oil production may rise to 12 million barrels a day after Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's government eases taxes, billionaire Chalva Tchigirinski said. Putin approved a tax-cut plan to stimulate oil output that may be sent to lawmakers this week.

Nowhere was I suggesting we emulate Putin's Russia. However, this doesn't change the fact we sure ain't the US I grew up in.
