Great. Meanwhile, we'll be spending hundreds for Jardiance and Entresto.

I am all for few regulations on business unless they clearly take advantage of American citizens. Big Pharma has clearly proven they only care about profits and nothing else. I think all Americans can agree on this. Yet congress is afraid of Big Pharma. That has to change.
I'm glad you care about elderly Medicare patients. Many here don't.

For decades, US Big Pharma has overcharged Americans to subsidize discount drug sales in Canada, Europe, Asia and the Third World. IMO, this is the larger issue and has to change. But, this is mostly a private business matter.

The govt. has negotiated Medicare and Medicaid drug prices forever. This is just the latest negotiation.

Private insurance has done the same.

But I'm not sure what the govt. can do about Americans subsidizing discounted foreign drug sales, other than hit the drug companies with fines. But again, if US insurance companies are happy, and the Feds are happy, that leaves the self-insured, who always get screwed because they don't have an organization to protect them.

In one pocket and out the other.....

The Biden admin mandated a fortune for big pharma via covid vaccine. So colluding with BP on the vaccine and then the drama of reducing drug prices, which would theoretically negatively affect BP's profits, makes you wonder about the details of the 'negotiations'.

So Trump had nothing to do with Operation Warp Speed which fast tracked vaccine approval? The first jabs were going out when Trump was still in office. But you are saying its all Biden.

You caused it.

People like you would give hospitals "4- and 5-star" ratings on hospital surveys if you didn't experience any pain and even when your surgery or medical treatment resulted in complications and even if your surgical or medical treatment failed.

You would give them "1-and 2-star" ratings if you experienced any pain and you did that even when your surgery or medical treatment was a smashing success and you had no complications.

Hospitals want 5-star ratings from people like you.

So, the hospitals went to "Big Pharma" and begged for something to deal with pain and "Big Pharma" gave you and the hospitals exactly what you wanted.

I'm not seeing where you have a right to be angry.

It ain't my fault everybody got stupid and ignorant and started believing a pain level of 0.0001 on scale of 1-to-10 was unacceptable.

This ain't the Star Trek Universe.

When did I do these reviews? I have never even heard of such a thing. I have never been admitted in a hospital in my life. But I did not realize I was to blame for drug prices. Live and learn. Sorry everyone I wished I knew I was the root cause of Big Pharma doing all these bad things. Boy I feel bad about that!

My doctor wanted me to try Farxiga a few years ago, and after looking at the black box warnings for the drug, I declined. One of the risks is bladder cancer. My maternal grandfather died of bladder cancer back in the '50s, and my mother had bladder cancer over a decade ago, which was successfully treated. With that kind of family history, I said, "Absolutely no way" to Farxiga (or Actos).

My understanding is that it is just based on claims data. The fact remains most of these negotiated prices will be meaningless by 2026 because generic availability will take care of the cost. Generic release dates are always in flux and until the medication is in my hand, caution is advised. The impact of biosimilars is not completely known at this point.
