The U.S. State Department says that the funds can only be used for humanitarian needs. Looks like Iran's president's definition of "humanitarian needs" may differ than ours. Surprise, surprise. "...the needs of the Iranian people will be decided and determined by the Iranian government.'' So, if their needs are atomic weapons, don't be surprised when they use one, courtesy President Brandon.
Yup. Iran’s humanitarian needs are nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, naval ship harassment, terrorism, harassing Israel, and kamikaze drones.

Democrats are being forced to play defense on President Biden’s controversial deal to free up $6 billion in Iranian assets in exchange for the release of five American prisoners, which Republicans are now demanding be reversed after terror attacks by Hamas.
Many Senate Democrats were caught off guard when outlines of the prisoner exchange deal emerged in August, while the Senate was out of session.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer vowed Tuesday to investigate the Biden administration’s move to unfreeze $6 billion in Iranian assets as part of a prisoner swap deal finalized last month.
Comer (R-Ky.) blasted the concession as a “ransom payment to Iran,” which came weeks before Tehran-backed terror group Hamas carried out a bloody assault on Israel that has left more than 1,000 dead.
“From the Biden Administration’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal to its $6 billion ransom payment to Iran, President Biden’s policies have led to turmoil in the region. Congress has a duty to hold the Biden Administration accountable,” Comer said in a statement obtained by The Post.
Verily I say unto you, focus not so much on the $6B which was shameful in and of itself...but rather the removal of sanctions on Iranian oil that they sold to (mostly) china for more than $50B <---thats a B, in liquid cash, not controlled by any US interests at all.
As I said in all my previous posts, THIS is where the problem is. There are re-supply arms flowing freely into the strip at the moment and we (the US of A) are doing exactly nothing to interdict. Our response to date has been words (ok, the words had to be said) and fully symbolic. An armed carrier at anchor in the med is not conducting any flight ops ergo it is a $32B <----that is with a B) sitting duck for every malfeasant in the region who are trying desperately trying to harm it so it is SLOWER, ergo has to limp back to newport news and not conduct any flight ops. Russia has 'donated' dozens of antiship missiles YESTERDAY. while I have faith in our air defense batterys, it only takes 1 miss.
