Revenues coming in 37% lower than expected and next year the city will have to make a $2.4 billion dollar payment for pensions due to not funding the pensions enough for many years.

There is also 13,500 migrants who have arrived.

As long as they're here, the migrants might as well work regardless of immigration law/state and local regs. If Texas can illegally send out those giant buoys to drown them - and evidently to no legal consequence - then Chicago should allow businesses to hire them and bypass all work permit and immigration requirements.

At least the city will generate some revenue and the migrants can be productive as opposed to just standing outside of hotels and police stations all day or begging and selling candybars in River North/the Loop. Lots of jobs have openings, and locals don't seem to want them. At least somebody does.

Also, the bus drivers transporting the the migrants should be arrested as soon as they arrive.

Finally, the Federal Government should start putting recapturing and redistributing these enormous costs by deducting Federal aid to Texas and Florida ASAP.

So all that should help balance the lower revenue.

So give all of these so-called asylum seeking migrants a SS# when most of them will be denied once their cases are reviewed? How about illegal aliens? Should they be able to get SS# to when they aren't even authorized to work in our country?

There is no evidence that Texas broke the law by placing buoys in the river. No one has drowned because of them! When in the process of breaking the law criminals often get hurt so it's on them not our laws or those enforcing them.

Americans will work most any job for a fair wage it's not that they don't want them. There are far too many low paying jobs in our country anyway and they need to cease to exist. In New York there are more workers available than jobs.

The bus drivers should be arrested for what? These migrants chose to get on them. Why should the border states be penalized for the Feds not doing their jobs to secure our border? These so-called migrant are costing us billions a year so they are no plus to our economy. You make no sense at all!

Unfortunately, merely being in the country illegally isn't criminal/doesn't in and of itself make the person a criminal.

It is against the law, but it isn't criminal (which, IMO, is ridiculous, but it is the case).
