Landlords in Berkley California decided to have a party to celebrate the end of a 3 ban on evictions. Protesters and activists show up and fights follow. Some activist protesters said 'landlords need to get a real job' -LOL

Only in California. I can see those who feel entitled to a place to live even if they don't pay for it miffed that landlords are throwing party because they can now evict those that can't or won't pay. On the other being a landlord is a small business and many got screwed under the guise of abused covid related policies.

Ah so the protesters trespassed and harassed\assaulted people.

Yeah, that sounds like Berkley.

Going to be a lot of people in that group that have lived rent free for 3 years and then they call the landlords parasites lol.

Do we even need to wonder what those squatters did with the monthly rental payment that they were not paying? I'm sure most put that money aside in a college fund for their kids or maybe for a down payment on a house of their own?

Sooo during the 3 year long Covid moratorium did the Bank holding the Mortgage suspend the payments for the landlords that were getting stiffed?

Then the same protesters wanting free rent, no evictions etc. are probably wondering why people are selling rental units like condos so the unit is no longer rented out....or to corporations that can better deal with the variance and other issues.
