Mexico is a preferred trading partner per our NAFTA agreement. They are a neighbor and a friendly nation. We know what we are getting with them.

China is a threat to us and to everybody else too. They abuse their own population.
Considering all the negatives of doing business with China I am fine with American manufacturers moving out of China and into Mexico. I would much rather see our southern neighbors benefit instead of China.

Rumor has it that Xi now fears for his life that he believes people within the Chinese Communist Party might attempt to assassinate him. That would probably be a step in the right direction. There is an authoritarian Push by Global Leadership that must be stopped now using any means necessary and it's not just China That's the problem.

Mexico being our largest trading partner is logical.

Trump renegotiated the NAFTA deal because many Americans felt it was unfair. His trade war with China did more for Mexico than NAFTA ever could.

My hope is Mexico's economy will improve and Mexicans won't have the need to come here illegally. Mexico, however, will have to do something about corruptions and the drug cartels before things can improve.

Absolutely! Common sense at its finest

That is correct, but keep in mind, capitalism was created by the state for the benefit of the state. When America moves a manufacturing plant to Mexico to exploit cheap labor, America is also making Mexico dependent on America. America allows "outsourcing" when it serves our "national interests".

When America began moving its manufacturing to China, the aim was to make China dependent on the United States and thus subservient to the United States. There would have been nothing better than to turn China into a perpetual low or middle-income country that devalues its own currency to keep its manufactured goods cheap enough to export.

The danger from China isn't from Foxconn or Apple or other corporations moving their manufacturing plants there. The danger from China is that they're stealing intellectual property to benefit their own corporations. Basically, the danger isn't because China assembles our Iphones. The danger is because Huawei produces 5G technology. The danger isn't from Toyota moving its assembly plants to China. The danger is from China using tech from Toyota to produce its own brand of cars.

To explain this relationship a little more... The Colonial model was driven by low-value commodities from colonized countries being sold in exchange for high-value finished goods from the "master" countries. Basically, it would be like America buying $1,000 in raw materials from Africa, building a car that costs $5,000, then selling the car back to Africa.

That relationship essentially makes the master country 5x richer than the colonized country. The master country wants to maintain this relationship indefinitely, so they prevent the colonized country from developing competing industry(since it would be at a natural advantage because it has the natural resources).

The neocolonial model is about skimming profits from the labor and resources of the third-world, just like an employer skims the "surplus value" from his employees. Basically, as long as China is willing to do all the work while American capitalists reap the profits, America would maintain that relationship forever. The problem is that China is trying to cut America out so they can keep all the profits for themselves. It would be tantamount to someone who works for Pizza Hut, learning everything about how Pizza Hut operates its business, then using that knowledge to start their own franchise that sells the exact same pizza for cheaper. Thus putting Pizza Hut out of business.

In short, China is no longer willing to be America's employee. China is actively trying to put America out of business. They are cutting into American markets on all fronts. Industrial, financial, technology, even their military-industrial complex.

Neither is good, but better Mexico than China.

As for cartels, best bet is to legalize, incorporate, regulate, issue stock, and pay dividends to small investors.

We’ve done it time and again for equally unsavory products and services.

Look to Saudi Arabia as a good comparison with America...they import a LOT of workers to
get stuff done that their citizens will not touch.

More and more America will import items and workers, I guess Mexico is benefitting a lot from
this dynamic, good for them.

Do you really think Saudi Arabia is a good example to follow?

Modern Slavery in Saudi Arabia
Quote:
Migrant domestic workers employed in Saudi Arabia have experienced physical, mental, and sexual abuse, excessive hours, withholding of wages, passport retention, and denial of food, rest, and medical care by employers in private homes and by recruitment agencies.
Quote:
a 2019 investigation found that migrant domestic workers in Saudi Arabia were bought and sold via Instagram and other social media applications.

Migrant workers are often irregularly recruited into the agricultural sector, facing harsh working conditions in farm work and shepherding. Some migrate to Saudi Arabia on promises of work in other sectors, only to have their passports confiscated and be forced to work on Saudi farms without pay. Exploitation in the form of forced begging has also been noted to occur in Saudi Arabia, with women and children (particularly unaccompanied migrant children) most vulnerable.

What if those who are trying to assassinate Xi are more hardline and authoritarian than Xi Jinping?
