So much linear thinking here about what Presidents can and cannot do.

Presidents don't control prices, no. But the policies Presidents enact, or threaten to enact, do indeed impact prices across a wide range of goods.

Well Bush 1 and 2 did a number on us with three failed wars and record oil prices in 1991 and 08.

Maybe some minor impact on some commodities but certainly not chicken breasts.

Policies that impact energy prices, for one example, effects chicken prices. So do farm policies and EPA water policies, to name two more.

Actually 4 years ago it was lower, then came the Covid spike.

Throw on high inflation that wages haven't kept up with and that explains a key feature.

Why you don't source your posts.

Energy prices can impact many items but a president can't raise chicken or gasoline, they are determined by the market.

Are you being obtuse? A President announces a policy that will raise prices, and starts to do so immediately, so yes, the President is responsible for the market's reaction.

You do this sophistry in every thread.

Careful with such a statement you might offend the atheists(No, i'm not one) Its degrading to compare Biden to God(which gets a capital G) anyway. That dumb old man doesn't even know today is Sunday.

I buy the groceries at my house. This past week I bought beef chuck roast for 2.97/lb, a whole fresh fryer chicken for 1.79/lb, chicken leg quarters/ 0.87/lb, country style pork ribs 1.37/lb, etc.

Veggies: brown onions 3lbs/0.99, roma tomatoes 2lbs/1.00, bananas 2lbs/1.00, carrots 0.77/lb, etc.

For 150.00, my spouse and I can eat fresh, healthy, nutritious meals for 2 weeks.

I don’t know what you bought, but beer, liquor and cigarettes don’t count as groceries.

I find it hard to believe. It seems you don’t know how to shop and/or cook.

To be honest, groceries prices are going down.

The gasoline however it’s taking too long to go down. They’re gouging.
In my 70 years doing the weekly grocery shopping prices are coming down. And my local Kroger sends me 10 bucks off a $75 coupon a couple times a month. Sometimes different configurations, but I always have a dollars or % off the total coupon.

Somebody didn't learn how to shop from their granny.
