Israel has closed off the Gaza Strip since 2007 and just let Hamas fester and scheme inside there - all while cutting the civilians off from the rest of the world. Israel is smart, has resources, has all kinds of spies etc and it should have somehow gotten Hamas out of there and made Gaza more prosperous and put in other governments there.
Instead, it continued to make it a prison where half the population is below the age of 20 and those kids have gone through 4 wars. Really? That was your solution because Hamas took over - to close it off from the world and that's it?
The IDF will now launch a ground invasion of Gaza where there will be house to house fighting, tunnel-fighting and close range fighting. Obviously, many civilians, even scores of civilians will be killed during this and Israel has created an entire generation of enemies and your endless cycle will continue.
Or perhaps some of you will say, "Israel should completely flatten Gaza now." Sure, go ahead and do that because that is Hamas' goal. They will create enemies til the end of time.
I personally favor, as Israel seems to be doing, strategic attacks upon Gaza, and more importantly, blocking all resources from them. No food, supplies, water, electricity, etc..and bomb any buildings using generators to keep Gaza resource free.

Create more generations of enemies? The way your post reads is like a threat that Israel apparently is ok with. They play hardball over there.
