I'd never heard of Johnson from Louisiana until he was elected Speaker today, but he seems to be level-headed, and non-radical. I like the choice.
I still think Gaetz, Mace, and their ilk should be run out of Congress - along with Tlaib, Omar, and Corey Bush (and maybe a few more). The country should not tolerate radicals on either side.
What does Gaetz support that you find so offensive? I can tell you a bunch of things that the squad believes in that are offensive but with people like Gaetz I'd say they're only considered extreme because they won't cave in back room deals with the dems, not because they have extreme beliefs.
I love how Republicans are so smugly congratulating themselves after over three weeks of a clown circus. The clowns are still there! This elevation of 'Anonymous Dweeb' to Speaker is likely only temporary until they're at each other's throats again!
He's speaking from his very own knowledge, of his two son's experiences.
What's not to believe? Sometimes, when people keep telling you racism still exists, even this guy who's very far right is saying it, maybe believe it? Believe that you're not seeing it because . . . well, it's not being done to you?

Do you have a link to him saying that exact statement?
I cannot seem to find it. What I did find him saying is:
“Roe v. Wade gave constitutional cover to the elective killing of unborn children in America,” Johnson said, during a House Judiciary Committee hearing.
“You think about the implications of that on the economy; we’re all struggling here to cover the bases of Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid and all the rest. If we had all those able-bodied workers in the economy, we wouldn’t be going upside down and toppling over like this,” he added.
I do not see in that statement where he'd said - “Every American woman has a duty to birth at least one able-bodied worker”, or anything close to it. The video in that link came from the House Judiciary Dems X (twitter) post, I'm sure if he'd said the exact statement, that you claim he had said, then they would have included that part of the video in their X (twitter) post? right?
The new, & more conservative, GOP has just begun. Get used to it..its our turn to run the show...Libs had the last 3 years.
Speaker Johnson is large & in charge. Libs are gonna hate his policies, which makes me like them even more.
Speaker Johnson's a huge supporter of the Biden impeachment panel, & their new amped up subpoena power. Now Comer can resume exposing the Biden family crime syndicate.
Ukraine's open checkbook just got taken away too. Time for Europe to take that mess over, & fund it all.
I can't wait until he starts defunding all things Biden, to force Biden to close the border. The power of the purse is now unleashed.
Conservatism rising
