What is the advantage of having voting on one day? In 1792, federal law permitted each state legislature to choose Presidential electors any time within a 34-day period before the first Wednesday in December. This law did not require a popular vote for the President. Election Day was not established until 1845. In those days people didn't travel much from where they lived. Now it is common to travel for your job for a week or more, and often on short notice.
"In 2021, voters throughout New York considered a proposed amendment to the state constitution. It would remove the need for voters to state an acceptable designated excuse for an absentee ballot.
We endorsed this idea and encouraged voters to support it. As long as election officials can maintain a system that roots out any fraudulently cast ballots, we believed voters should have this option.
But Republicans argued against this measure, and they prevailed. Voters turned down the request to change the state constitution.
So lawmakers decided to ignore the voters and pursue their own objectives."
The article goes into details leading up to Gov. Hochul signing the New York Early Mail Voter Act into law and that it was immediately challenged in court as it should have been.
Aside from that, and why I feel N.Y.’s Tammany Hall tyrants have been resurrected, can be found in the LAWSUIT which explains how consent of the governed has not been gained which is required for such an alteration to Article II, § 2 of New York’s Constitution which controls absentee balloting.
What is very troubling is, this same crap [adopting no-excuse mail-in voting without the people’s consent] happened in Pennsylvania, and a pattern seems to be emerging forcing no-excuse mail-in voting upon the people, when mail-in voting opens the door for various kinds of creative vote fraud, and, there is no way to confirm the one who fills in a mail-in ballot and sends it in, is the same person listed on the ballot.
Let us not forget, the scary truth about allowing no-excuse mail-in voting in one state is, when acts of corruption infect an electoral process in one jurisdiction “they transcend mere local concern and extend a contaminating influence into the national domain.” Justice DOUGLAS in United States v. Classic (1941)”.
This “no-excuse mail-in voting” needs to be nipped in the bud or we will wind up with national elections as happen in China and Cuba, where there is one party rule.

If this push for no-excuse mail-in ballot voting, which is being forced on the people by the Democrat Party Leadership [e.g. see: NY Dems’ latest bid to snub voters, flout the Constitution — and lock in power], is not nipped in the bud and stopped in its tracks, voting in our national elections will in fact resemble those as happen in China, Cuba, and Russia, where there is one party rule.
It also adds new conditions specifically for this primary:
• Municipal election officials must put serial numbers on absentee ballot applications if the applications are provided to an individual who has requested five or more absentee ballots for this primary.
• The town clerk will be required to stamp each absentee ballot received through a drop box with a stamp reading “drop box” in addition to stamping it with their printed name and date and time received, as done in every other election.
The article goes on to note that “. . . someone came into the town clerk’s office on Tuesday and took out 200 applications. Those will no longer be usable.”
Let us keep in mind, when these mail-in ballots are counted, it will not be known if the one who filled out the ballot and sent it in, is the person whose name appears on the ballot, or if the choices on the ballot were knowingly and willingly made by that person, and without undue influence.
In-person voting eliminates many of the creative ways cheaters have come up with to steal the votes of others. And that is one exceptionally good reason for limiting mail-in voting, e.g., to ". . . qualified electors who may, on the occurrence of any election, be absent from the municipality of their residence, because their duties, occupation or business require them to be elsewhere or who, on the occurrence of any election, are unable to attend at their proper polling places because of illness or physical disability or who will not attend a polling place because of the observance of a religious holiday or who cannot vote because of election day duties . . . " See PA's Constitution, ARTICLE VII, ELECTIONS, § 14. Absentee Voting, which I might add, Pennslyvania's Democrat controlled Supreme Court recently subjugated, and without the people's consent, arbitrarily invoked no-excuse, mail-in voting.
