It is stupid to cut the Police budget when you need them the most but what will really be stupid is if the Democrats win in the next election.
With everything that is happening across this country due to the failed and stupid policies of the Democrats they should be voted out of every office BUT there are many voters that are closet masochists and they can't help themselves but to be miserable.
Most amazing is the lack of foresight when the biden admin decided to abandon the southern border and millions stormed across and mayokas said the border was secure.
Did not NYC dems ever consider where 8 million plus illegal aliens would end up? Did they not realize a growing problem when illegals were giver court dates years in the future, knowing most will not show up?
Wonderful how democrats that run NY and NJ are so free spending taxpayer cash to support illegal aliens! free healthcare, edu, lawyers, housing, transportation! Can taxpayers afford this burden on top of the collapsed economy and rising costs under?

Yeah, why not cut city gov't pensions, & put pay raises & promotions on freeze, & cut headcount at city hall by 1/2 first, before closing libraries & cutting police?
They can't cut sanitation any more than it is now. My wife was there not long ago, and said the trash was piled up 6 feet high all over NYC, w/ Rats everywhere...disease breakout imminent.

He blamed the rising costs of the city’s migrant crisis for the move, with tens of thousands of people having travelled from the US’s southern border to New York, seeking the shelter and financial aid which the city is obliged by law to provide.
I don't suppose it ever occurred to Mayor Adams that maybe he could cut aid to migrants to deal with the financial situation, instead of cutting aid to the actual citizens of his city. This certainly shows where his priorities lie.
