Thx for clarifying. I thought I was seeing Republican propaganda because they want accountability of the money being spent there, & the Dems do not. So, the Pubs might release some bogus stories to put pressure on Dems to sign the accountability bill now being debated in Congress.

The Zelensky is a billionaire story is pure BS.
The yacht story is distorted facts. Zelensky has bought no yacht, but it's likely a close associate has.

It's true that the US AND the European Union have given financial aid to support the obligations of the Ukraine government during the war. The EU gave far more the than the US in that respect.
Among the things the Ukraine government has to pay for is pensions. Russia's invasion has destroyed the economy because Russia grabbed what was the most area producing the most income.

Zelensky was rich before he ran for president due to his part ownership of the media companies related to his humor shows. He gave up ownership when he got elected.
He was worth about $30 million from that, before he was elected. He maybe has only $20 million now.
He's not a billionaire, he doesn't own mansions in Florida.

You would be ok with Russia taking over Ukraine against the wishes of the citizens of Ukraine?

If you have evidence of corruption, contact a US Attorney.

If we are so concerned with Ukraine, then why aren't we just as concerned with other world conflicts at the moment?
Aren't there tens of thousands of people killed in the Congo every year?

The war in Sudan has killed over 10,00 people this year alone?

Somalia and Kenya have been at war for over 30 years with over 500,000 people dead. Why aren't we trying to stop that?

Syria has a civil war going on for over 10 years with over 600,000 people dead. Bet you never even heard of it.

There are conflicts all over the world. Should we be involved in every one? Who decides which one we should get involved with... an old man who benefited from a corrupt country and leadership?

I would rather we be more concerned with our own border than send billions over to Eastern Europe in a war that is slowly destroying a country one bomb at a time.

The effort to sell Ukraine as a war that Russia had absolutely no reason to start, when in fact we (The US) have intentionally goaded them into it.
Our real interests are business/money of course but pretending that we are the do-gooders of the world seems to be a better sales pitch than saying we want to be better able to control Russia's access to Ukrainian resources.
We have spent who knows how many billions to try to stick it to Russia. Even going as far as paying Ukrainian salaries/pensions, which I find particularly outrageous...especially given Nicki Haley is talking about cutting our Social Security here, while increasing Ukrainian funding. Those billions could have propped up Social Security which I see as a vital safety net for many here. It would seem many Democrats and Republicans too are willing to keep pouring money into Ukraine, and I think in the end it will be wasted...and we will leave a lot of dead bodies in the wake.

Some people are "concerned" because they have been told to be concerned by the MSM.

Russia taking over Ukraine has the potential to destabilize Europe, which is a threat to Western Democracy. The internecine wars in Africa pose little threat to US interests. The US does provide humanitarian support, and there are a number of US troops in various places in Africa.

You think I've never heard of the Syrian civil war? You don't know me and you don't know how much I know about a myriad of topics, including Syria.

Would you be ok with dying for a country that isn't a part of NATO?

No one is stopping you from joining Ukraine and fighting the evil Russians.

Taxpayer money and proxy wars isn't going to eliminate dictators or solve world peace, there's invasions right now in Africa. America is ONLY obligated to defend NATO or those it has a defense partnership with (S. Korea, Japan, Israel) and Ukraine isn't on either of those lists.

How can Russia take over Ukraine if Russia is just a "poor corrupt gas station?"

You cannot mock Russia for failing to beat Ukraine on one hand, then claim they are the biggest threat to Europe on the other. Which one is it?

And we already heard that excuse in Vietnam. And Afghanistan. If Putin wants to invade other poor corrupt eastern European countries like Georgia, Moldova, and Belarus, you are welcome to go fight him. They are NON-NATO countries, you have our blessing.

Would any American “be okay if China invaded Taiwan?”

Classic fear mongering. Now Secretary Austin is also trying the same tactic as above by saying if Ukraine doesn’t get the money, the U.S. will send troops into the region. Nice threat to Congress. Compromise?

Biden said 90% of the money for the Ukraine had been distributed among US military contractors.

Mansions that military contractors own near Washington, DC are pretty nice.
