Did they? I remember the mainstream media pumping that message out but that's about it. A lot of people fell for it and parroted The Narrative but it was the media sending that message. That's the only reason you heard it.

At the risk of dragging the thread off topic, I'll just say that the goal was control of the House and that goal was achieved. By how much is irrelevant. Republicans control the House and that's what matters. They decide which bills get voted on, assign members to committees, etc. Media wanted you to believe that no matter the outcome of the elections, they failed at achieving their goal so they made a prediction they knew wouldn't happen, setting them up to call Republicans failures when they actually did what they set out to do.
