Fortunately, there are videos of Trump claiming he was the one who got abortions banned.

As to a woman's right to make her own medical decisions being a state issue, since when have civil rights in the U.S. been relegated to each state making its own decision on civil rights?

Republicans have fundraised off of banning abortions, have made it clear that has been their goal for decades, celebrated the SC reversing itself on Roe v. Wade. No amount of verbal tap dancing will change that.
Yep, they are the dogs that finally caught the car.

Abortion isn't a civil right. If anything, it's the exact opposite since it's the intentional and almost always unprovoked taking of another human being's life without their consent.

It looks like it will be on the ballot in Florida in November.

Nonsense.

Civil rights are personal rights guaranteed and protected by the U.S. Constitution and federal laws enacted by Congress.

A woman's right to make decisions about her own medical care is a basic civil right.

The time for a woman to decide what she wants to do with her body if she doesn't want to get pregnant is BEFORE she willingly has unprotected sex.

Unprotected sex = 85% risk of conception (CDC).

95% of unintended pregnancies are due to women VOLUNTARILY participating in unprotected sex (no use of male or female contraception), by their own admission (Guttmacher).

Killing another human being just because a woman who couldn't be bothered to use birth control (and/or insist her male partner use it) deems that human to be an inconvenience isn't a "civil right." It's depraved indifference to human life.

Abortion may be considered a "civil" right, but this petty legalism pales in comparison to the aborning Life in the mother's womb !

We are circling the drain.

I don't like him - remove him from the ballot
I don't want this issue up for a vote - remove it from the ballot

Groups don't want "the people" to make any decisions anymore?

Check your pocket copy of the Constitution.

Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment is as clear as can be on whether Trump is eligible to run for office.

The U.S. Constitution is the basis of U.S. laws. Show me where it reads that the government has the power to make medical decisions for women because killing human life is wrong?

We are just fine with killing humans by dropping bombs on them. Do it all the time. We send bombs so others can drop them. We execute people, for Pete's sake. Next week, a man is scheduled to be executed with nitrogen in Alabama.

As to that self-righteous "protecting the unborn children." Put up or shut up. How about protecting those precious babies after they're born?

Where is the legislation ensuring that all children have enough to eat every day? Seems the very least we could do if we demand they be born. We spend a bare minimum on education. Child Protective Services is constantly underfunded and overwhelmed. ...

We all know it is not about protecting children. Because we don't.
