The reality of amnesty is too far, even for the average voter. And thats what your team is asking for.
Looks like Mikey will need to risk working with the Dems and losing his job or not work with them and drive the country over a cliff to satisfy the likes of Matt gates and MTG. Little did they know not funding the gov doesn't defund smith or the courts oops.
If it does end in a shutdown, it would be just another example of Republican congress incompetence and their inability to govern. Why would anyone vote for them? They are too blinkered and philistine to work across the aisle to get things done.
Still waiting for someone, anyone, to tell me when the last time was that Democrats worked across the aisle and were willing to compromise to get something done.
As for the shutdown, the Republicans will get blamed. Doesn't matter what they do or don't do, they'll get blamed. And they'll cave. Same as always. Just once I'd like to see them develop some backbone and stand up for what their voters elected them for, but I won't hold my breath.
House and Senate leaders have reached an agreement on a short-term spending deal that would avert a government shutdown in the next few weeks, three sources familiar with the matter told NBC News.
The deal would keep the government funded until March, buying legislators more time to craft longer-term, agency-specific spending bills, following the agreement last weekend to set the overall spending level for fiscal year 2024 at $1.59 trillion.
The new agreement moves upcoming government funding deadlines for different departments from Jan. 19 and Feb. 2 to March 1 and March 8.
No doubt the exact same thing will happen in March.
The older one gets and having been through this many times before, the more it is nothing more than a joke!
I saw what the Dems wanted for the illegals, and it is ridiculous. "Charity begins at home." - detain and deport per the law, and get our citizens fed and housed.
Ehh what about the "wall that Mexico will pay for" supposedly through "tariffs" . Neither party wants a closed border. Dont kid yourself. If Repubs wanted a secure border they had YEARS to do it. LOL. We are being played, hoodwinked, shammed, scammed, conned by the elite in general.
Its all about power, control and killing the middle class

You seem to forget what your team (not even bothering to ask) is ramming down the throats of your average American citizen. You forget that this Christo-facist takeover of the Republican party and their wishlist of what they'd like to inflict in the rest of us should they ever come to power again. People are starting to wake up to what the true Republican agenda is actually all about and it's not good.

So do you think Trump didn't want a closed border or do you think the RINOs wouldn't help him get one?
