On January 12, CBP agents saw six migrants in distress trying to cross the Rio Grande river. The agents were then unsuccessful in contacting state officials and remained unable to access the area.
CBS News reported agents were stopped going into the Shelby Park migrant holding and processing area by Texas National Guard troops deployed by Abbott.
That agents were stopped going to the area had nothing to do with this death. Yet the article puts it together in a way that would lead you to this assumption. This is simply slime ball journalism right here. Other outlets are suggesting this narrative too. Look deeper and we see that the

but they dont give the pertinent details of why it is inaccurate. Which it is.
I heard a report that the Federal agents arrived at the park and were denied entry... more than an hour AFTER the mother and children had already died.
The deaths of the people in the river had nothing to do with any Texas state police blocking the Feds.

Migrant mom and her 2 children drown while trying to cross Rio Grande into Texas: ‘Tragedy’
Published Jan. 13, 2024, 8:01 p.m. ET
Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) announced Friday’s tragic incident in a press release....
“Border Patrol was unable to render aid to the migrants and attempt to save them.”
He said that around 9 p.m. Friday, Border Patrol agents learned that six migrants were in distress in the river.
He said they attempted to contact the Texas Military Department, Texas National Guard, and other state authorities by telephone, but were unsuccessful.
The agents eventually met up with members of the Texas Military Department and Texas National Guard at the Shelby Park entrance gate and told them the border crossers were in trouble, according to Cuellar.

My question is, How long did these Border Patrol eventually take to get to the park, after they heard that someone was in distress?
White House falsely blames Texas in migrant drownings.....
...and then "Biden admin admits migrant drownings occurred before Border Patrol alerted Texas officials...."
First "the whipping migrants from horseback" lies now this.
This just shows they couldn't give two ****s about some dead migrants.
This administration is absolutely disgusting and has no qualms about lying.
It's incredible.
"The Biden administration, in a new filing to the Supreme Court, has admitted that three migrants who drowned last week died long before Border Patrol agents sought access to the Shelby Park area from Texas officials – after the administration had blasted the Lone Star state over the incident.
The Department of Homeland Security and the White House both took aim at Texas after the deaths of three migrants, including two children, in the Shelby Park area last week. Texas had seized the area and the administration said it was refusing to grant Border Patrol access...."
This administration wouldn't know any shame if it bit them on the ass.

Meanwhile the media had days of inflamatory headlines crucifying Abbott. Some things never change, and some people never learn why its called "fake news!"

How many of the far-left media who screamed that the migrants drowned because Texas military blocked the BP, will now publish retractions, apologize and correct what they said?

None.
The damage is done as designed. People saw the headline, pushed their internal ticker further.
No retractions or Truth will pull it back. Mission accomplished.
At best they'll divert to something else that doesn't address the argument like our mysterious 'new' posters do when they pop in.
