It looks like common sense is starting to win over at GM. The symbol of the worst of American piggery is about to die! Could not happen soon enough. Hopefully the other monster SUVs will follow.

Well I like any business proposition. If the people ain't buying them, then the manufacture ain't going to make that product anymore. Look the price of gas right now it the biggest contributive factor to the current down trend in the some SUV. Also Trucks are taking a hit as well. Now if the price of gas does ever drop people will go back to these type of vehicles.
Look alot the American people didn't learn back in the 1970's that we should conserve our energy sources and alot will not learn from this time around. When things are good people think the sky's the limit and forget the problems of the past. When times are bad you typically hear this "What happen?" " I didn't expect this." "How did this happen?" Forgetting that we have been through something similar before.
Look maybe in the end gas won't drop and we will have no choice but to drop the big SUVs. But is it oil ever does go down. These things will be back on the roads again.

I think this just an atempt for GM to get some Carbon credits and tax breaks. What makes you think GM is really American anyway. They dont make any cars here and most of the parts come from other countries. SO basically you have the worst made cars made in other countries and the best cars made in America owned by japaneese.
Looks like Japan is more captialist then America and has better ideas and they dont need the government to give them carbon credits to make better cars and can still pay Americans to work in America. Crazy thought. GM's problems are not from the size of the CAR they are from the people who run the company. They havent had a good idea since the corvette.

You do realize that the H1 has not been the seller anyway Kev? The H2 and H3 have been very popular.
And, do you know the gas mileage of the Hummer Kev? 14 city 18 highway Fuel Economy
There are MANY other vehicles that get worse gas mileage Kev.
