There's no indication that Michelle Obama has any interest in being a politician. She refused the opportunity as her husband was enjoying his abnormal meteoric rise through the ranks, she didn't get overly involved in politics while she was the first lady and as far as I know (I don't pay attention to mass media anymore), she's not making a lot of appearances or otherwise introducing herself to the voters as a potential candidate.

The Michelle Obama stuff is wishful thinking. Democrats are grasping at any hope of retaining the seat, just as many Republicans did for a while post-2020. It's not going to happen and if it did, she'd get crushed and it would be a huge embarrassment that would set the black-woman-as-president agenda back decades.

What’s Michelle’s qualifications to be president anyways? Teaching good eating habits to children?

I saw that Josh Shapiro's name was tossed out as a possible replacement for Insurrection Joe. Well, Shapiro SHOULD be cooling his heels in prison every bit as much as Biden should be. His run for attorney general in PA came when Biden stole the election for President in 2020. At the time Governor Tom Wolf was despised by business owners for his bungled handling of Covid and his abuse of power forcing school closures and lockdowns. Shapiro was losing election until the early morning miracle of November 4th when hundreds of thousands of extra votes put him over the top. Votes that were 100,000 more than were registered and went 98% his way.

Howso?

I grew up poor in a Single parent dwelling (can't call it a home), so I had to go to public schools in poor areas...run by Dems...in Detroit

Despite my failed Democrat education, I escaped Detroit, earned a BBA, an MBA, hold 2 U.S. patents, own an international company, semi-retired by age 50, & am a top 2%'er.

...but my punkshooayshun and speling are terribal,

Had I stayed in Detroit, I would likely be The DNC's last-minute replacement for Joe Biden.

Instead of being beach43ofus, I would have been Slums4allofus
You’re missing the point. You wrote a bunch of things supposedly said by Democrats. For example:

“China is our friend..covid, fentanyl, & spy balloon's were just an oops“

No one ever said that.

None. That’s why I think it’s all a fantasy.

On the other hand, Trump had no qualifications to be President in 2016. So maybe President Michelle is not so far fetched after all.

Actually, I don't think she did teach good eating habits, just look at her and her girls to see about that. I think teaching good eating habits to children should be a high priority but the curriculum should be from people with proven success of their diet.

I think it's probably 50-50 that Biden will be replaced, Michelle or Kamala are the two most likely to get the baton IMO.

Yeah, being a four decade successful businessman doesn't qualify him. And, before you do your "But, but, but" look at the his overall success rate. Yeah, there were bankruptcies. In industries where scores of companies went bankrupt at the same time (casinos in Atlantic City being a prime example).

Funnily enough, Trump is mentioned in an episode of Hill Street Blues as a developer one of the characters who'd inherited some property should emulate. That show ran from 1981-1987. That episode was around 1985-86.

He made about $100M on the sale of the DC hotel.

I remember when people were supporting Hillary Clinton, as they had liked Bill Clinton, and felt it was a way of having him as the POTUS again, by proxy. Imagine Hillary being dominated by Bill! So, those that liked Obama (and I see no reason to), might think he would be running the show by proxy if Michelle was elected.

Trump was qualified in business, and if the government was run more like business, which he was trying to do, we would not be in the horrible situation that we are in!

As bad off as Biden is mentally and physically, I'd go with a 25% chance that it will be Biden. He has trouble focusing, walking and talking, so we are close to seeing him gone now. They might prop him up for the election, and then dump him pretty quick. Right now, he is hanging by a thread, but they don't want Kamala as POTUS, so they are "between a rock and a hard place". The thing with dementia is that one cannot predict how it will progress.

I don't think it will be Michelle or Kamala, I'm still thinking someone that no one is thinking about.

Isn't that voter suppresion not having voters vote for a candidate during the primaries?

They left likes to throw 'voter suppression' around like it's candy and yet when there's talk of replacing gangster Joe at the convention not a peep.

They also like to say they are trying save democracy yet their own processes and party don't practice it.

I think they have to do so. I think they know that. It's the smart thing to do. Not to mention the RIGHT thing to do.

I would predict Gavin Newsome.

Nobody, including most Democrats, will regret getting Biden and Harris out of there.
