You do realize the president of Cuba at the time was Raul Castro. That is whom Obama met with. Fidel was a bitter old man back then and a non-issue.
A quote from your reference:
"During the trip, Cuban President Raúl Castro met several times with Obama, conducted a joint press conference hailing the new relationship and seemed at ease and jovial with the U.S. president as they sat and watched a baseball game together."
Sounds like a pretty successful trip to me.
Now you know that facts don't matter kdog...it's all about repeating "alternate facts" enough times that they appear believable.
I'm having trouble understanding what I'm supposed to be "outraged" about here.
The embargo should be lifted.
It was ended for food and medicine decades ago. Beyond that it's a moot point. Seriously what can you ship and sell to Cubans if you are an American company? Cubans are broke they have no money other than what Cubans Americans send them.

Of course I know. The fact is, Fidel is like a God in Cuba. He carries more weight, like Hugo Chavez vs. Maduro in Venezuela.
Trump went to North Korea, I think NK is a bigger threat than Cuba.
Damn near everyone in Congress has been to China as have most recent Presidents.
Saudi Arabia is not a bastion of freedom, hacked up an American reporter, and paid 9/11 hijackers but we visit them.
I guess I am missing the issue or concern here with official visits to Cuba by people from Congress or the Executive branch.
I bet people don't know who is running Cuba without searching for it first. That tells me Cuba is not the same threat as NK, China, or many others we visit that we ALL know the leaders of because of their bad intentions.

Tourism, for starters.
And them being broke is not the reason for the embargo.
