SEATTLE — There's a new curriculum coming to Washington’s public schools starting in the 2025-2026 school year.
Senate Bill 5462, which Gov. Jay Inslee signed into law this week, will mandate students to learn about the contributions of underrepresented groups in school, including those in the LGBTQ+ community.
There are 39 holidays/days of remembrances for LGBTQ+ in Seattle. Perhaps they can
learn about the contributions of underrepresented groups in school on one (or more) of those days.
Well, I guess when important historical fact (or anything useful) is no longer taught, something has to fill the void for the kiddies' "history" classes. Maybe add to that the history of masturbation and female cucumber usage--you know, vital information. That along with pronouns should get our schools churning out freaking Einsteins.
Honestly, I didn't like school that much at the time anyway. If that crap would have been coming out of teacher's mouth, I'd have just gotten up and walked out. Not worth my time and of no relevance or value to me whatsoever. School is not the place for such topics.
