Democrat Leadership believes abortion rights will swing 2024 election their way.
This will probably prove to be an accurate assessment.

Instead of keeping it simple by focusing on the economy on US soil, put-their-foot-in-their-mouths so-called republicans keep it stupid by involving themselves in fabricated hot-button issues that are not public business.

But that is the role that the puppet masters assign them, so they play it, and oval-fillers have to eat contradictions from both sides of their mouths.

Let the Democrats keep thinking that, but it's NOT going to happen for two reasons.

1) Abortion doesn't even make the list of the 15 most important issues among the US electorate.

List:

https://news.gallup.com/poll/611135/...blem-list.aspx

Full results:

https://news.gallup.com/file/poll/61...226MIPEcon.pdf

2) The Dobbs decision cited the 10th Amendment when designating the authority to regulate abortion to the states. As no Article, Clause, or Amendment in the US Constitution authorizes Congress to legislate abortion regulation, they have no express authority to do so.

That said, pay careful attention to the Gallup findings. Whoever American voters think will do the best job addressing the most important issues will win the election, and as we all know... Biden has been bungling those, badly.

Americans WILL vote for their and their families' personal safety, and their wallets. Biden's horribly incompetent stint as POTUS has relegated abortion a non-issue and barely more than an afterthought for the 2024 election.

IMO, the border will overshadow abortion as an issue in the election.

Unless the Republicans continue on trying to get BC pills banned. That has been the goal of some since the 1st bc pill came on the market.

Pretty much this. It won't be an issue unlees the GOP keeps insisting on making it an issue by going nuts with new laws and regulations. The party seems to be in such a rush to pass legislation that they don't bother to actually research the implications of the proposals beyond the immediate goals. It also doesn't help when proposals are so strict without thought to medical advice, or go the extreme of "we are so pro-life that we are going to kill you over it."

Believe it or not, it's possible for a politician or even a regular person to personally dislike abortion, while also believing that banning it is a poor government policy.

As stated earlier, there are a lot of Republicans not in office that just want to see some reason being applied here. We would much rather see the party focus on the economy and other more pressing issues, but then the elected keep giving us daily soundbites about this.

Women’s reproductive healthcare will be one of the deciding factors in the down ballot races. Example Alabama.

State and local? Maybe. But Democrats are still pretty far behind, even after Dobbs.

55% of state legislatures are Republican, 45% Democratic - Ballotpedia

Hopefully voters won't forget the Covid vaccine mandates that Biden shoved down our throats that cost many people their jobs not the mention bogus climate change mandates that have increased the cost for everything you buy and limits your choices. Biden is a demented dictator.

I agree. The closer we get to the election, the more we will hear about how those nasty right wingers want to ban abortion, ban birth control, will incarcerate any woman that has one or uses birth control, and plan on turning the country into Gilead of the Handmaids Tale.

It's a tactic that works, and for whatever reasons, this stuff is much more important than the disastrous direction our country is headed in.

The very reason why the puppet masters assign to so-called republicans the role of espousing certain dumbass policies is to maintain the inflow of illegals, for-profit military business ventures abroad, exploitative junk food supply/poor health management system, etc.

And they assign to so-called democrats the role of espousing certain other dumbass policies for the very same reasons.

Oval-fillers eat them up like they was candy.
