Wasn't there a Jewish girl on TV who accidentally referred to the war in Gaza as another genocide? LMAO!!!

OP, your initial post was beyond spot on!!

As I stated in several posts, HAMAS started this war and if they truly cared about the Palestinian people, HAMAS could end it by surrendering to the IDF and releasing all their civilian hostages.

Instead they choice to hide behind civilians, purposely and willfully to get the killed.

Being a retired US Army and fought, on the ground, I hate war since throughout human history, it’s the innocent civilians that pays the highest price in the end.

As for all the George Soros funded protests in the US and in Western Europe, instead of blaming Israel and blame HAMAS for starting this war, purposely putting civilians in harms way and taking over a hundred innocent Israeli hostages… Which all these are war crimes.

These Middle Eastern tribes have been killing each other for Thousands of years.

Arabs and Israeli's have been at it since 1948...76 years.

We're not going to end any of it for the long term. Its like whack a mole.

China, Russia, & India do a much better job of steering clear of it than we do...they are not perfect, but much better than we are.

I wish we'd stay clear of it all a lot more than we do now.

Israel's actions in Gaza are legit, but the question of proportionality arises...Hamas killed 1,000 Israeli's, & Israel has killed 34,000 of Hamas & Palestinians...34:1 Should there be a limit? 100:1? 1,000:1?

Once the Hamas infrastructure has been destroyed, the hostages freed, & no more shots being fired by Hamas, it will end.

Yes indeed. Israel did not start this war. For the Hamas punks and sissies to whine and whimper and demand an end does not fly. It wouldn't have in 1941 and it doesn't today.

A hostile power attacks you without provocation, kills and abuses scads of your citizens, and you just let it ride? No, this is a war.

Israel did not start this war just as the USA did not attack Japan or Germany in 1941, but by Jove we finished it. That is what you do to a hostile power that attacks you. You wage war, total war, you destroy them or destroy their will or ability to fight. End of discussion.

I don't think so. Proportionality has rarely been a consideration when there is at attack on the homeland.

Here is the deal...

If you, and I say 'you' generically not personally, enter a war zone, you must know and acknowledged that the RISK of getting killed -- BY ANY SIDE -- increases. The Red Cross knew of this RISK from long ago.

https://www.redcross.org/content/dam...story-wwii.pdf
Over the course of the war years, 86 Red Cross workers—52 women and 34 men—lost their lives as the result of their wartime service.
Now, if you enter a war zone where one side is KNOWN for violating most, if not all, accepted conventions of war, and the most famous violation is that of using human shields, you must know the risk that you could get involved in such a situation.

1- You maybe co-opted into being a human shield,
2- Or you maybe MISTAKEN for a human shield.

Of possibility 2 (mistaken), the other side still has the obligation to respond. They will not know that they are in error until too late. They know you are civilian or technically speaking a non-combatant but that they (falsely) believed that you are a human shield.

The Red Cross certainly at least tried to coordinated with all sides but in the end, 86 of their own were killed.

When you hate someone, you’re willing to believe the worst of them regardless of the source of information. When you hate someone, you refuse to believe the best of them regardless of the source of information. Sensible people will review news information from a variety of sources and consider the validity of the information based upon the impartiality of the source.

From the variety of sources I’ve seen, what they do agree on are
1. Hamas did invade Israel on October 7 and committed mass murder, rape, and kidnapping
2. Israel demanded the release and return of the hostages
3. Israel conducted military operations against Hamas in Gaza
4. Hamas operations were found in Gaza schools and hospitals
5. UN employees were working with Hamas in the October 7 attacks and supporting Hamas facilities
6. When aid supplies are delivered, Hamas steal the aid for Hamas troops.
7. Prior to a targeted attack, Israel sends information to the area encouraging civilians to evacuate the buildings.

Sadly, offering up facts and reason doesn’t affect those filled with hate. They look up sources, however questionable, that support their hatred views on Israel and Jews.

Fervent Muslims believe the most important things that one can do is to kill the nonbelievers and be martyred for their cause. This is what they live for. There is no fear for loss of life hence why Hamas is allowing the killing of its citizens instead of ending it by releasing hostages.

If these civilians follow this belief system too, then what can anyone do about it? They are getting what their main purpose in life should be according to their religion. Their death is more important than their life.

Others don't understand it, but what can you do? If these crazy Muslims cared 1/1000th for the health and safety for their Muslim breathren as the hate they have for Jews, the hostages would have been released, and Iran would have been sending aid to Palestine instead of rockets.

It is tough when a religion calls for martyrdom and that becomes the endgame of your life. There is no fear of death, just welcoming it. Now when those people become leaders of a country and feel that its citizens are nothing more than future martyrs how do you engage that country to make peace? There will be no surrender by those leaders. They would rather every citizen be killed first.

Somewhat similar to us versus Japan. We wound up using nukes because they were instilled to never surrender.

Tough situation for sure. You have a country trying to kill you. You have an advantage over them but they won't quit. Do you stop fighting and allow them to continue to attack?

Even if you kill the leaders of Hamas, will that make a difference if the civilians still want to martyr themselves against you?

The way this whole thing has been framed is complete garbage.

It took me and many others a long time to see it. The separation of Hamas and the Palestinians is the problem. Israel turned over control of Gaza to the elected leaders, called Hamas back in 2005. Hamas is the elected leaders of the Gaza strip. Therefore the Palestinians created 10 7 one could argue.

Israel going into Gaza to root out the leadership isn't a genocide in the very technical sense. They take many proactive measures to prevent civilian deaths, far more so than any war in history. The Germans carpet bombed the English, the Americans dropping the A bombs on the Japanese.

War is ugly. The waste of human lives that brutally and savagely murdered women and children are reaping what they've sown. Palestinians should have been more aware of their leadership's actions, but I suspect that they are OK with it.

Same way they cheered in the streets for 9/11. So I say screw them, but replace that with the F word.

A full throated loud as hell F word. I hope Israel puts every fighter in the ground and that they are buried with pig guts.
