This is a drop in our ocean of military spending and it is kicking Putin's hinder severely degrading his capabilities and politically destabilizing him, his cronies and regime. If not decimating Russia, what is our military spending for? Strong offense with very little risk to ourselves & only partially funded by us. Propping up our war economy/MIC at home. Without our boots on the ground. Where is the downside? If we didn't cause this we should have.

What noble efforts to save Ukraine? Russia took Crimea w/o a shot fired, or any resistance from the USA whatsoever. Was there even a sanction put in place against Russia? Obama and Biden looked the other way, after they promised Ukraine to protect them if they gave up their USSR era nukes.

Obama & Biden sold Crimea to Putin, & double crossed Ukraine. They were partners w/ the ex-president of Ukraine, who took his $1B cut too, & then vanished. He later resurfaced in Russia exhile. Nobody even mention him anymore:

Ukraine is a corrupt crap hole not worth defending. Putin has his patch to the Sea, & now he wants their crop output.

$61 billion should be enough for a year or so. Russia's military budget for 2022 was $75 billion, so it's comparable. They'll have to find a way to budget it.

i guess you missed the fact that we(the U.S.)has been far more militaristic and caused far more deaths in other countries than Russia/China/North Korea/Iran has in the last 75 years. Go overseas and talk to people WE are now seen as the villains of the story. It's time to take a stand against the Military Industrial Complex which uses manipulation of "patriotism" to support out constant inference in foreign wars. Whose sole purpose is to funnel Trillions into the pockets of the Arms Manufacturers and Politicians. We are not the World's Police Man nor it's heroes. We have no obligation beyond to defend ourselves and our allies. And Ukraine is not one of them(really we had no treaty with them whatsoever).

Would definitely explain why Russia declared a ceasefire when Biden visited Ukraine. Or that Biden could ever even feel safe at all literally visiting Ukraine.
Well Russia and Putin will end up with the military hardware and technology that the Big Guy is sending over after taking his standard 10%, so that could be a consideration for Putin.

Doesn't sound like you're willing to use our grandchildren's future taxes to enrich a few corrupt Ukrainian oligarchs and the Big Guy and fight to the last Ukrainian any more.

At this point you'd have to be a fool to continue paying income tax because those taxes aren't benefitting you nor the American people.

The US and Russia guaranteed Ukraine's sovereignty when it gave up its nuclear weapons under the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances. Russia violated the agreement. Without Ukraine, Russia is a dying nation; with it, Russia becomes an empire and will look further threatening our trade, our allies. Which nation will be next and how far west will they go? To survive, Russia must expand and our word will be useless.

Lol…. I should’ve put quotes around “noble efforts” along with a sarcasm note.
I agree with you, especially the last sentence.
