It may come as a shock, but Jewish people aren't typically single issue voters. I'm very concerned with the rise of antisemitism on the left, but some of the same people who point it out are the people who continuously deflect from antisemitism in their own party. Antisemitism from the left isn't going to make most of us forget the antisemitism on the right AND ignore the right's poor record on healthcare, women's rights, abortion, education, environmental and labor protections, etc etc.

And at the end of the day, it wasn't a Democratic president who brought up antisemitic dual loyalty tropes for American Jews with regards to Israel.

Even when your party wants to exterminate your people?

Nothing about the right indicates that they are any different. They just want to send us to Israel first.

The right is never going to reach small l liberals of any or no faith.

IMO American/Western Jews need to be more honest with themselves about what is going on - on the political left right now.

Will the current antisemitism on college campuses change any of their minds?
God Bless you.

My parents were democrats too. My Dad was from Ireland and seems to have thought every democrat was like JFK.

My Mom's first born son, my oldest brother Chris was a very badly affected paranoid schizophrenic, so out of fear, my parents voted democrat thinking they needed those democrat government crumbs to help care for Chris.

Chris wanted to become President himself. He stood for World Peace and Legalization of Marijuana.

So we should kowtow to a bunch of radicalized college kids and vote against the nation's interests on topics like healthcare, environmental protections, labor rights, women's rights, education, and the list goes on? Nah.

Israel isn't even in my top 20 priorities as an American. And quite frankly, Trump lost a lot of my Republican relatives due to his implication that we should or do vote on Israel's interests above our own.

The Netanyahu government is antithetical to Jewish values. The Talmud teaches us that weapons may not be sold to those who use them criminally. Avodah Zarah 15b.

People on both sides who suddenly got a PhD in Middle Eastern studies yesterday seem to be completely in the dark about how Israel's elections work and that there have been massive protests against Netanyahu for years - but especially in the past year.

Americans don’t vote for their best interest, they vote for whoever promises them the most free stuff and special treatment.
