This will only delay the trial past the election Trump's only defense is to win in November. When he fails to win the house of cards is going to come crashing down on him. I believe he will flee the country if he loses again probably already has plans to fly to Cuba where he can hide in the Russian embassy.

Did you legit just type that out with a straight face?

Also, if Fani is pulled off, her entire office is as well.

It will be given to another DA who can choose to continue the case, or choose to drop it.

It certainly might, they aren't just seeking Fani and her office be disqualified, they are seeking the charges be dismissed as well given that the entire thing was put together by disqualified prosecutors.

Of course it doesn't really matter one way or the other, if the charges are dismissed, they can be filed again and if they aren't dismissed another county can pick them up....

The problem is that no one would want to touch this BS case with a 30 foot stick.

The second Fani's office is out, it's over.

Defense is seeking it, but the charges were brought by two grand juries not going to be dismissed that easily. Judges only want to delay this past the election they know he is going to lose republicans goal is to retain as many Trump supporters as they can after he is gone.

If and when a new DA is assigned, they can choose to use as much, or as little of the investigative work done by Fulton County - and use or toss the indictment.

So yes, it can be dismissed "that easily".

Yep. The case is obviously tainted, and they believe it is overly such then that would probably be a good reason for them to toss it.

They don't seem to be doing very well with any of their cases. lol.

Fani is up for reelection this fall, assuming she wins the Democrat nomination (which isn't a total given). She'll have a Republican opponent in November. It'll be interesting to see how that all turns out.
