We have one ex President that is under a gag order and another that his handlers wish he was.
Biden can't handle talking and it is crazy.
We might not have always liked what Trump was saying but we always knew what he was thinking with his Tweets and impromptu pressers. Trump was the most transparent President we have ever had and now we have Biden that cannot even read a prepared speech without messing up.
When he's been on-screen previously, I see complaints about that. State of the Union? Not happy. Campaigning? Not happy. Not Campaigning? Not happy. MAGA-ites really need to get things sorted amongst themselves, because, not happy this way/not happy that way, always complaining, and just unhappy.
why would anyone be 'happy' hearing streams of near-unintelligible lies?
He may have given some interviews, but they were almost totally with television or radio personalities, and a few with supportive journalists. He's never had a real press conference - one without prepared, pre-answered questions from pre-picked questioners. He occasionally stops when on the way to the plane or helicopter heading to Delaware, but it's many times just a single word response.
40 years ago was 1974. Leading up to that time was when Nixon was under extreme pressure from the press and just about everybody, so it's understandable that he didn't interview much. Ford took over in August and it took him a while to get geared up (he never actually did). I don't remember much before that with Nixon, Johnson, and Kennedy, but I suspect all of them were more talkative than Biden is now.
