Let's face it, Biden is a mess. There is only so much hiding you can do. He can't debate Trump. He can't go out and talk without notes or a teleprompter or he says something he shouldn't.

He lies and makes up stories. He needs special shoes to walk. He needs special steps. He needs people to walk around him so we don't see how he walks. He's having a hard time. Will he next have secret service carry him to the helicopter and airplanes? Will we see him with a walker with tennis balls on the bottom? He's so old and can barely talk. He slow mumbles and you wonder if he'll croak before he gets to the end of his sentence.

He is told not to talk quantity but keep it short. He barely talks as it is. He is never held accountable as it is. He never has press conferences that allows the press to ask random questions without advance notice.

Look at his poll numbers. The dems are scared that Trump will be able to beat him. Even some dems are turning against Biden.

Can the dems force him to step down even if Biden refuses? I personally want him to run and want him to remain in the election.

But can he be forced to step down? Can he be replaced?

If he can, does Kamala automatically step up in his place as the dem candidate? I've heard where the dems may put Newsom in in place of Biden but how would that make Kamala feel when she is the VP. It sounds like a mess but I just don't see how Biden can stay in.

Can he be replaced at the convention either by "force" or by pleading a decline in his health? Yes.

Can Newsome then be nominated? Yes. But that leaves Harris totally out, Constitutionally the President and Vice-President can't both be from the same state.

Would the above royally **** her off? Yes. Would she swallow hard and smile? Who knows?

Sure. Frankly I would be surprised if a number of scenarios had not already been considered and will be presented in the smoke filled room.

Ohhhh to be a fly on the wall when all this went down. Then how will they resolve the issue of Kamala and Newsom both being from CA?

Will Biden freak out and lose this temper?

Just how upset will Kamala get? Will she shout out racism racism to Biden and Newsom? This could get really nasty. If Newsom stepped in in front of Kamala, this would form a resentment from Kamala unless the dems ($$$$$ for a made up position) offer her a very nice deal to step down?

As much as it would be fun to watch, I want Biden to stay in...please please please.

Great point. They sure don't follow laws or rules at all. They are the almighty powerful people that must rule over the country.

That's not exactly how it works. An Elector must vote for President and VP separately, and at least one of them must be from a different State.

So the Electors from CA couldn't vote for both Newsom and Harris. Any Elector from outside of CA could vote for both of them.

Some background on this...

Although with the Democrats I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the same thing that Bush/Cheney did in 2000. When Cheney became a Wyoming Resident to get around this requirement.

Harris would do what Cheney did - buy a house in another state and claim residency. (Well, Cheney already had his Wyoming house, but Harris could simply buy one in another state.)

How will it go down that Biden is forced to step down even if he wants to remain?

Not quite true but it is complicated as it would mess up the electoral college vote.

Bush and Cheney were from the same state of Texas...Cheney changed residence to Wyoming to avoid losing electoral votes.
