Krusheve said he would bury the USA too and we did not nuke him. Words are cheap. And Iran's President did not say he "would" do it. He said that it "should be done".
Iran has called for the end of the Apartheid (Zionist) State of Israel, not the end of the Jewish people. America regularly calls for the end of political regimes in Burma, Zimbabwe, ...etc.
Well, reasonable approaches don't seem to be working so far:
Iran rejected a six-nation offer of incentives to stop enriching uranium on Saturday, prompting President Bush and French President Nicolas Sarkozy to jointly warn Tehran anew against proceeding toward a nuclear bomb.
The quickly unfolding series of events began in Tehran, where European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana played the role of messenger for the offer from the United States, France, Germany, Britain, Russia and China.
It includes "more meat in terms of how Iran could prosper" from going along, including new help developing civilian nuclear power in the form of energy partnerships and other measures.

I'm suprised Israel hasn't taken out Iran's nuclear facilities yet. Just a matter of time now. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done. On Earth as it is in heaven.
It would be VERY BAD no matter how it was cut. The Arabs would say that we gave them the bomb and told them to do it and, like I said, at the very least, we would be dreaming of the days we paid $4 a gallon for gas. Gas, if you even get it still, would be $20 or more a gallon and you probably would not need it because the economy would be in shambles. It would make 1932 look like the "good old days". At worse other nations such as Russia would jump in and we'd have a nuclear exchange and life as we know it would come to an end.
Iran might say things for political consumption but they will not attack Israel. Especially with nuclear weapons. Because if they did, it would be the end of Iran. And, like I said, Israel would be wise to adopt the MAD policy as well.
Iran provides Hezbollah with any rocket they wish to launch into Israel. Some day they'll get the war they want.

Obama should just tell us all the magic words only he knows that will end this issue.
How would Bush plan to keep oil prices from skyrocketing and strangling the economy in the event of an airstrike, anyhow? He hasn't articulated such a plan.
Iran is only trying to be a strong ifluential, ideoligical, powerfull and nuclear middle eastern superpower, and its learning by example... Israel.
