Please list all of the items the Congress has done under the Democratic control to limit the national debt and hold accountability.. This should be interesting because using your argument, we should have a surplus like never before, not a deficit because the President should be blocking all of the Democrat controlled Congressional spending, after all, Democrats have controlled Congress for nearly 2 years, and the deficit is still growing by billions PER DAY.

p.s. If you cant limit the spending of someone of the opposing party, how the heck do you think you can when your own party gets into power. This government works best when there is a Democratic President, and a fiscially conservative Republican run congress.

Republican / Republican means more spending on military
Democrat / Democratc means more spending on social programs

Neither one of them are fiscally sound or accountable to the national debt.

I wish it was just pork spending.

everyone, with the exception of very few, are responsible, including the voters as we do not hold anyone accountable in office.

The government decides to bail out the richest financial institutions in the nation, who were made rich off of the blood sweat and tears of the working class, and meanwhile, Joe Taxpayer is still working his ass off to put a little money aside to one day be able to buy a home which is a tiny imitation of the luxury these thieving bank executives enjoy by sticking it to us front and back. They are the reason the housing market became inflated to this insane and unrealistic level, they are the reason no one could afford the mortgage payments, and now they want to get the money for free to keep it that way, and keep themselves living like our lords and kings. They created this fake bubble of an economy that has made slaves of the working class, and now they want us to pay them to keep us in slavery.

Nice try. Americans were morally bankrupt long before Bush even became governor of Texas.

When are Americans going to be held accountable for that?

They couldn't have done it without our complicity in the ponzi scheme.

My first thought is that the American people will stand for anything.

I agree with his assessment of other countries "owning us", but i'd have to disagree with his idea that a 10% "fee" from your pension, endowment or 401(k) plan to buy back U.S. debt and currency. It's just playing another shell-game. (IMO)

It is an interesting concept thought, that i'll give the author his due.

Besides, will Americans even stand for allocating 10% to help buy back debt and restore currency?!

If we, the people wanted to take this country back, the simple and logic solution, in my opinion, is to put an end to bribery of taxation on labor. Change the fundementals and restore the checks and balances once again in the U.S.

Thoughts?![/quote]
