It's amazing, even human relationships get reduced to $$$ and cents! I think that I'll have to re-read the "Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" because this is just a perversion of human genetics! I feel like I'm experiencing an episode of the "Twilight Zone"!
GOOD GRIEF, Steve . . . they couldn't possibly be that desperate for The God Almighty Dollar . . . could they?
I have no problem with my age and social isolation! So, when are you "Left Coasters" plan to drift off to the middle of the Pacific Ocean and sink!
Not soon enough! By the time the big one finally hits and relieves of America of the state, the roaches will have already migrated too severely for it to mean much.
It's amazing. Even Californians hate California so much that they're leaving... and taking the culture that created what they hate with them.
As far as the gay thing goes, good for them. I think it should be state regulated anyway... without federal recognition of course (but I don't see why the fed needs to recognize any marriage.) I don't see why America shouldn't have a gay state. Seriously. I don't approve of that stuff myself, but why shouldn't they have a right to live free somewhere if they're not hurting anyone else?

Right what an asinine statement that clearly reveals your ignorance about California. Who hates who?
Mind telling us what wonderful state you live in or are you too embarrassed?
LOS ANGELES (AFP) - California's economy is poised for a multi-million-dollar windfall as same-sex marriages get underway here Monday, with the tourist sector eyeing a bonanza as gays and lesbians flock to the state to tie the knot.
Ahhh, I knew there had to be a reason to recognize fantasy as reality. Money, now I get it. What a shame to degrade society just to bolster an economy.

I hear that the Greek Island of Lesbos has an open immigration policy!
Another thread started solely to bash gays indirectly and while at it, also bash California. Good Grief, get off your high horse and get a life. But Yes, the economy of California will be boosted, significantly even. California's own estimates are that there are at least 317,000 gay committed households in the state. If all those couples were to get married at an average of $100 per couple for just the fees alone, would be over 31 million dollars. That is only the tip of the money ice berg.
