Good news is obviously not in the best interest of the AP, and includes ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, PBS, AFP. Perhaps Fox News will broadcast the good news, but even that is questionable. I usta be amazed; now, I'm just amused!

This is nonsense. Fox News digs through Iraq to find good parts to report but will never report road side bombs and stuff. Stop living a fantasy, there's nothing good going on Iraq. Over 1,000 soldiers on the ground, a good number of secret service operatives, 100+ tanks and other machinery for a freaking senatorial visit protection????? That's what you call progress. Yeahh riiiiggght!

I know, shameful, isn't it?

But what do you expect when the media is filled with dems/libs who want to get the WH back?

They have no interest in spreading the good news the way they spread the bad.

The only good news that could come out of Iraq is an announcement that we're leaving.

I would only ask that the government tell the American people what the plan is, give a general time frame and have so idea on how you will secure democracy to people without having them do it for themselves.

I'm glad you're hearing good things about Iraq. It's refreshing to hear that you enjoy good socialist stories about redistribution of wealth from Americans to Iraqis.

Here is another positive story, from an excellent publication. But go ahead and spin it negative:

The only good news that could come from Iraq is that we're pulling out of there completely. We should never have been there in the first place.

You know, I'm sure there is good news that isn't reported or shown on the nightly news. I have no doubts that the US is attempting to do the best it can with the situation at hand. However, at the same time the press doesn't really show the "bad" out of Iraq. I have yet to see human bodies blown to bits and splattered on walls, the pictures of deformed children from the tonnes of depleted uranium that coats the desert sands, or the millions of displaced Iraqi's that have been forced to move from their bombed out homes.

So for every school that gets built, for every candy bar that was handed out then by all means show those headless bullet ridden bodies with brain matter and body parts strewn in the streets.

Truth is, the press cannot show the true face of war, good or bad. People would not tolerate it, so they are insulated from the realities of it. Enjoy the clorox version from the media that is meant to show just enough of the news to guide public sentiment and steer political policy.

They had no problem touting the daily bombings, violence and American dead and injured.

Seems they should also tout the lack of the above as well.

They have an agenda and are not willing to risk showing that Obama was wrong on the surge. They know this helps McCain - and hurts Obama.
