Why is this not on the front of every single newspaper in America?

Gateway Pundit: LEADING DEMOCRAT Calls For Nationalizing Oil Industry!

John Hoffmeister: from Shell Oil: I can guarantee to the American people because of the inaction of the United States Congress ever increasing prices unless the demand comes down and the five dollars will look like a very low price in the years to come if we are prohibited from finding new reserves and new opportunities to increase supplies.

Rep. Maxine Waters: And, guess what this liberal will be all about? This liberal will be about socializing... uh, will be about, basically taking over and the government running all of your companies.

Typical Democratic.. Government creates a problem, and then when the solution creates an even bigger problem, the governments answer is to take over the industry...

Move over socialism.. Here comes communism..

Because Maxine Waters is probably the biggest idiot in the House. IIRC, she's the Rep for LA, CA.

She represents a pigpen of a district inhabited with scum and she is a dutiful manifestation of that dunghole. She's already a communist:

Here she is: Citizens Against Government Waste: (http://www.cagw.org/site/VoteCenter?congress=109&repId=158&session_num=0&pa ge=legScore - broken link)

I don't know who votes for this she clown? I have never voted for her to return to office, but the ignorant fools keep voting her back in!!!

I have written to her office and called her office and although I'm in her district (Harmon is one side of the street, Waters the other), her office says they only talk to constituents and hang up on me!!!

She must be going senile.

LOL. She knows who her constituents are... they're the ones who volunteer for her campaigns and contribute... but if you don't vote for her, then you're really not her constituent in a practical sense.

What are you guys doing out there? She's been in the House 18 years!!! That doesn't speak well of the political machine in that district.

What kind of people run against her?

Since the oil companies are international they will just move their head quarters out of the USA . Since the goivernamnt owns no oil contract and has no idea what they are doing the economy will collapse.Government keeps pointing fingers because they denied there was a problem for years and play politics with alternative funding.Waters is just playing to her radical base.

I have to totally agree with you on this issue. Socialization is on the rise in our government and needs to be dealt with. Good post!

Shell isn't even an American company. How could they even be worried about nationalization of oil? Perhaps a temporary nationalization of oil could be put in place instead of indefinite, similar to how the government nationalized the railroads briefly during World War I.
