This story is dripping with irony - Government Is Sued Over Seizure of Liberty Dollars - June 20, 2008 - The New York Sun

I couldn't help, but laugh while reading this article. It's one of them stories with an interesting twist.

Brings the whole currency/gold debate to the forefront, which, in my opinion, needs to be.

What are your two-cents on the matter!...

This exposes the shell game that fiat currency represents.

This is going to happen, eventually, whether the government likes it or not. The government will have the ultimate decision to just how underground it will go. Will an alternative to the greenback be as contraband as heroin (and thus extremely valuable) or will it be accepted?

Ron Paul also wanted to pass a law exempting gold, silver, and foreign currencies from capital gains.

Because in the end all you're doing is changing one form of money to another.

I have quite a few coins from that minting house, plus quite a few stones worth of gold and silver as well.
