A friend asked me if my vitamin brand was FDA approved, and it got me thinking. Remember when our beef had a blue stamp saying as much? With all the products on the market, and all the corruptness going on, I think it is not something we can count on anymore.

FDA is a rubber stamp agency and a revolving door to the corporates that need their approval.

Monsanto researcher puts in approval for cow hormone.
Monsanto researcher gets job with FDA and ends up approving her own application.
Monsanto researcher goes back to job at Monsanto.
FDA official that wrote the guidelines for Monsanto was ex-Monsanto lawyer for 7 years.

A few groups expressed outrage and the FDA declared there was no conflict of interest.

Your beef never had an FDA stamp on it. It had a USDA stamp.

Didn't Obama appoint a Monsanto executive to head the FDA?

Ssshh!! Some people still pretend that Obama is any different than Bush.

The FDA is a great example of how Multi-National Corporations infiltrate Federal agencies and Governments to monopolize markets, while our Politicians facilitate the collusion.

It means that, for new drugs, you can be an official lab rat.

You have Michael Taylor.
His .gov profile mentions Monsanto in the last sentence with "other jobs".
Only Michael was a Monsanto Executive and lawyer for them for nearly 7 years.

Meet Michael R. Taylor, J.D., Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Veterinary Medicine

Monsanto is also making inroads with USDA since they need their approval for their test fields of GMO crops. That's where Vislack comes in.

So Monsanto is in both the FDA and USDA now.

FDA does not "approve" most of the products it regulates. The term "approve" is used by the public and really is not correct in most cases. FDA "registers" or "clears" most products but on fact only a few types were ever "approved."

I have no idea, I haven't bought beef in years. I would assume they still stamp it though.
