Here's a poll I posted a while ago in the Atheist/Agnostic forum on CD.

Pretty sure this is a bit more extreme than the general view of the nation.

pro-life: 5
pro-choice: 33
for gay marriage: 38
against gay marriage: 5

The point is that there are a lot of people that claim their religion isn't a factor for their beliefs on these two issues. So then I brought it up in a non-religious forum to see what the general trend was for them.

Granted there are likely a lot more religious people who DO admit their religion influences them, but IMO religous beliefs shouldn't have any influence over government policy.
