'They are shopping there to save money for products, goods and services they need.'

I have nothing against Wal-Mart - in fact I still go there for a very few items at least once a week to visit some of the clerks (is that what they are called?) - I got to know them and really enjoy a little chat - however I don't shop there to save any money anymore - why? Because they are too expensive - I go to my local supermarket and get the same stuff cheaper - I get my prescription filled at the pharmacy of my local supermarket and it's $4 - it was costing me $9 at Wal-Mart ..... over the years shopping at Wal-Mart I noticed some of the items that I bought disappeared (Wal-Mart has a habit of stopping selling certain items) - I still found them at my local supermarket and more .... the final straw was milk - when Wal-Mart started selling milk for over $4 a gallon (the regular milk) I made the switch to my local supermarket for ALL my groceries and have been happy ever since.
Like I said I don't hate Wal-Mart - they are in business to make money - no arguments from me - but please don't keep repeating that they are cheaper than other stores - THEY ARE NOT!

It depends on where you are whether they are cheaper. In my area, they definitely are cheaper on most stuff. Especiall if you compare them to Target and KMart. They are cheaper than Food Lion for my groceries and carry A LOT more stuff than my local Food Lion.

Don't confuse the hysterics with facts.

Well - milk at our Walmart is not over $4.00. And, most of my prescriptions are generic and are $4.00

So, maybe it is something local

One way they're cheaper, is that it's one-stop-shopping. No matter what combination of items you're looking for, you can get them there (within reason).

And a thread of anti-union was floating around here the other day, I did not go into yet. I am Union, I buy Union, I support Unions, I support Union wages, I support Union Health care benefits.

I have no sympathy for white collars when they lose their job. It is despicable to see 50-100k$ suv's in the parking lot of these stores, knowing the people who own them make over 100k$ a Year. Who don't care about the blue collars busting their *** trying to provide for their families, but trying to save a buck so they can buy more stuff at the expense of the workers in the U.S.

So for all you who shop at this sweat shop, shame on you, I hope you lose your job, and for all my union brothers who would shop here-may they pull your card...brother
